How safe is the Block in Baltimore these days?

  as you probably well know, DC and Baltimore aren't exactly right next door to each other, unless you're staying in Maryland. It's been a long time since I've been on The Block. The Goddess, which is closer to Camden Yards, is in a generally safe area. Or you might consider something a bit closer to DC. If you are looking for a real strip club experience stay away from the clubs in DC proper because of the regs on the books about what is and isn't allowed. Showcase in Beltsville, MD is a possibility, although at $20 a song for a "top on" and $30 for a topless lap dance it gets a bit pricey. In it's favor is the fact that Showcase doesn't have a liquor license so you are not obligated to buy the ladies an over-priced drink. And you can buy their cup which allows you to bring in your own beer, etc. Hope this helps. Happy hunting Mr. Dole. Please post a follow up with your experiences.

  It's been a decade since I've been there, and during my last visit I almost got ruffied. I wouldn't rush down there if I were you. There are several clubs just outside of the downtown core that some DC/MD/VA guys recommend, I think "Penthouse" or "Larry Flynts Hustler Club" or something like that seem to be recommended. For me, when I am in DC and can't get over to Baltimore I usually stick with the escorts since there's so many to choose from in the area. Tysons Corner always has a ton available, go check out TER (The Erotic Review) for some solid intel.

  Why wouldn't it be safe? It's a brightly lit and well policed tourist trap area. It's been a few years for me as well, but I can't see it changing that much in just a few years.

  I'm not a Block regular, and it's been years since I have been in a club there other than the Hustler Club. That being said, I do not consider the area unsafe. Yes, there are folks out on the street that I am reluctant to make eye contact with. I typically park close by (usually the garage on Custom House) and make a beeline to Hustler. The craziness on TV from a couple years back was due to the riots after the Freddie Gray incident. Those appear to be fading from memory fast... There are other clubs in Baltimore of course, but the Block is a unique experience.

  The area is extremely well lit. Recently I came out of Hustler Club around 830 and it looked like it was still daylight on the street. On a related topic, exactly where is the best parking? In Hustler Club reviews people often mentioned a $5 parking garage directly across the street. I did not see this. I went down Commerce Street and there were three garages - an $18 one closest to Baltimore Street , then a $10 one, and a $7 one just before Lombard Street. This was around 6:30 PM.

  Good question, Y74. I have also read about $5 parking, but have not seen it. The garage I mentioned is at the intersection of Custom House and Water streets. Parking for 2 to 3 hours has always been less than $12.

  I've been able to find street parking. Safe enough for a short time. Never had problems walking around there, but best not to be too visible for too long. Get somewhere and stay there. No late night experience, though.

  Block is very safe.There is a police station near the block . Hustler club is the best on the block..I have never been into block clubs. I don't consider Hustler has block clubs though it is at the beginning of the block. Players club is good in terms of good grind and touching. There is no Penthouse club in baltimore. Scores is little expensive and not much contacg.I don't recommend it. There is indoor garage parking just opposite to Hustlers. It's $5 on weekend nights I guess otherwise it's $7 or $10 for whole days/night not sure.I always park here. It's very safe. I left hustler alone at 11pm, 9.30pm, 1 am many times . Cops will be there on the [view link] need to worry.
