  Sure, but TJ has Hong Kong and Adelitas, where Chicago is mostly no-alcohol nudes, bikini bars with boobs. So Tijuana has that going for them, which is nice.

  The vast majority of these homicides are isolated to areas off the beaten path in both cities. The murders aren't taking place in the Loop in Chicago, along the Gold Coast, Michigan Avenue, or in Wrigleyville. They're mostly taking place on the south side or in the projects, not the places tourists would go to. Likewise in TJ. The homicides are mainly due to turf wars between the drug cartels and aren't taking place near Hong Kong, Adelitas, the border, or Avenida Revolucion, where all the restaurants are. Headlines can be scary, but don't always tell the whole story.
