Reading that, I realized that I could have written that after spending years in clubs talking with dancers. Frankly, it's started me thinking about writing under a female pseudonym as a dancer/sex worker. There's several contributors on TUSCL whose writing is better and who could draw from the millions of stoeies we've heard and experienced. hmmm.

At first glance, jack, I thought this was going to be a story about your career as a male dancer. :)

Most articles about strip clubs or strippers are crap but this one comes across as pretty accurate although she didn't get into the nitty-gritty SC underworld part of drugs and extras

Accurate, yes. Insightful, not even close.

There was nothing written in that article that required any experience in a club, as a dancer or a customer.

Very bland, kinda boring description of the job. We all know that there's a lot more to the story that she's not telling, especially if she was a "stripper" in Mexico.

I wonder what qualifies this article as "sports"?

stop reading yahoo news. They are trying to be relevant by spicing everything. There is no content.
Yahoo's net value is in negative but for their Alibaba investment. They are a classic example of how to do everything badly.

750K ppl in US have yahoo as homepage by default coz Firefox took a few of their dollars.

It was well written but I agree with flagooner that there wasn't any insight. People unfamiliar with clubs might like it, but for we veterans it's like "I was a dancer 101". I found it interesting she worked as an escort but she completely glossed over that.

It would be interesting to write an article about dancing that was intended for other dancers and PL's, who already know the stereotypical aspects of the industry. Not all PL's are loathsome, not all dancers are on drugs and not all clubs are hard to work for. Although I do think almost all dancers own pit bulls.
