I would like to commend all the members of this board that are tirelessly working to fight this public health crisis. The hours upon hours of personal time you spend on the internet researching this menace is just what this country needs. I for one applaud your selfless efforts to get to the bottom of this problem. I don't see the anti-porn movement as political. Both sides pretend porn is a problem in America.

The GOP is the nanny state when it comes to social issues like abortion and gay marriage as they want the government to end both through legislation, despite the constitutional protections.

The Dems are the nanny state when it comes to economic issues and guns.

Both are publicly anti-porn but of course everyone looks at porn at one time or another so it's hypocritical for either party to pretend they have the moral high ground on the issue.

Maybe we need a 12 step program for porn additions? Maybe that would help? I like personal choice and healthy attitudes. I realized I once had an internet porn problem and I took personal responsibility and my sex life approved. I realize not all can do that or some been a little support. So maybe some support groups might help. I am not sure. I don't think outlawing it is the answer though.

I am not sure why we can't all get along ... transgender included. Change is hard. But I am optimistic we can move past this. :)

It's not to say the dems don't have their own nanny state issues, lol. In local govts I see both folks on the right and the left trying to shut down clubs (it's immoral / it's degrading). Bah~ It's probably the same with porn.

I'm not saying we need complete abstinence from porn. Just some people have unhealthy habits with it, negatively affecting them or those around them. Like guys who can't get it up for normal naked women -- assuming you can get a 5, 6 , or 7 in your real life. That's kind of sad that normal sex no longer arouses you. Now if all you can manage to attract and keep is a 2 or a 3 (because she's obese and can't take care of her health or appearance -- ditto for your appearance) well I could see problems there. I'm talking about people for whom family or life with an S.O. take a dive from compulsive or unhealthy porn viewing habits.

I only posted this because its typical of politicians and folks that are so righteously religious, that they think they have a right to tell the rest of us what we should or shouldn't do. My point is that these types need to get a fucking life and mind their own fucking business not proscribe to me or anyone else what we can and cannot do, if we aren't harming others. Let these fucking busybodies go some other place and let us alone. Plenty of these types on the other side as well.
