To spend or not to spend

Many SCers say it's best to have a preset spending limit per visit and then leave the club once you have reached your spending limit – I think this is good/sound financial advice but don't necessarily think it's good “fun” advice.
I personally hate to stop having a good time at a club or not be able to get dances from a particular dancer I really want b/c I reached my limit for the visit – I rather enjoy myself as much as I can if I'm really having a good visit rather than “head myself off at the pass” b/c I reached my limit (YOLO is what I think) – I actually rather over-spend on a particular visit if I'm having a good time then throttle back and not have as many future visits rather than have more “average visits” per se.
Where do you fall-on on this conundrum?

I also totally agree with leaving the credit and debit cards at home. Hell i go one step farther and cut my cards up then freeze them in ice....yep nice and safe
The few times I havent done this I have regretted it. For example the night I met the DS I think I had less than $500 cause I was planning on a slow night. Had to use plastic after I met her.
Anyway, I'm talking about 95% of the time, above. The other 5% of the time, I leave room for awesome spontaneous experiences to happen. Some amazing girl wants to go strip clubbing with me right after her shift and then have sex (and I didn't expect it), or some other awesome spontaneous thing. In those cases, once in a long while when something truly special happens, I'll spend more.
I think the key here is, you want to keep to your budget the vast majority of the time, while having the flexibility to indulge those rare times when something really exciting might happen.
In the 2 hour wait, I had stage tipped $100, had 3 drinks, 2 sessions from the rub girl and two lap dances with hummer and bought her 2 drinks (Patron & Baileys - yuck)
Bottom line - I spent over $200 while waiting for the main course and then $300 for the entree. Too much.
I never have used an ATM in a club. I don't want to pay those fees.
I have never used a credit card, as there are tons of stories of tabs gettings out of hand and jacked uo when guys use cards, and I never fancied my chances of contesting a charge there. So, for me, its always cash.
I show up with a certain amount of cash but if I'm having a particularly good time, I may leave, get more cash, then show back up.
But I'm not going to start using a CC nor get cash from the club ATM.
But then who am I to talk. Once in San Francisco I went across the street to the bank and had to get some sort of "counter check" or something. It was to get more money out of my account.
Anyway, my girl was advising me on how to do this at the bank. She knew all about it. It took a while. But when I came back she was right there waiting for me. I guess she had watched me go into the bank from the front door. She and the door man were watching to see when I came out.
Okay, but I only did this once.
It is not just a limit for your time at the strip club, it is overall living within your means and recognizing when something like strip clubs or AMPs have become an addiction.

This was long ago when I was just learning.
