The best time to ask about OTC action is during the phone number exchange. For me, the vast majority of time it is the dancer that suggests exchanging numbers. During the phone number swap I simply ask if I should call her regarding hanging out for dining, drinking or hotel action. If she says she doesn't see PL's outside the club, i smile and delete the number as soon as possible.
I know it''s possible to turn such no's into yes's but there so much eager OTC opportunity out there, its just not worth the hassle.

I don't spend 18 months to get them, but I invest more than a single visit. I never grease bouncers, and I have never in my entire life worn a suit of any kind to a strip club. But I work to get non-OTC girls to let me bust their cherry. I look at it as a public service. I introduce them to the joys of fucking older men for money, and then they're available for everyone else.
Although there have been lots of girls I've seen one or two times, almost all the girls I've seen more than a few times OTC were initial "no" or "maybe" girls.
I never ask if she "sees customers outside the club". I only care if she'll see me.
Anyway, nothing wrong with the guys who just want easy OTC with girls they've just met
That fact that it is a place where P4P can be set up, does not change this. They need to have their space to steer it the way they want. And most of the time what they are waiting for is to see how you want to steer it.
I don't treat women in strip clubs differently than I treat women in other places.

@Ch3ll: I use Google Voice with a burn email address. I use it with my real phone, but that's not really very secure. If you want to conceal it from a wife or LEO, use a burn phone that you don't mind throwing away if things get hot. Google Voice doesn't add to that security, it just adds some features I find convenient.
I use something like google voice or Line2 at first, but if I get to know her well, eventually switch her over to my real number. Especially if she's going to be sending me pictures, regular texting works best, but I need to know her decently well before we'll do that. All assuming you're single; strategy might change a bit otherwise.

Well, depends on your M.O., right? For me, exchanging numbers is nothing but exchanging numbers -- I typically do it the very first time I meet a stripper that I like, but I'm not going to pop the OTC question until sometime down the line, so no reason to ask about "hookups" at this point, and I don't really care what SHE has in mind, I'm going to use her number to set up ITC appointments with her so I can get to know her and figure out if I want to OTC with her. But, if your M.O is to know on the spot whether she does OTC so you can move on if she doesn't, this seems like a fine time to ask.
Yes, each situation is different but I usually use some variation of this. Many of these honey's would not be caught dead OTC with a PL under any circumstances.
I like to filter these ladies out as soon as possible.
