Needed to take some antibotics after having some dental work done. Went to the club and didn't really think about it: <p>

Her: You're not drinking tonight? <br> Me: No, I'm taking some medication and I'm not supposed to drink alcohol.<br>
Her: Nothing serious I hope?<br>
Me: Nothing a little penicillin won't cure.<br>
Her: Oh, well, nice seeing you, I, ah, gotta go…

    Too honest! You could've MILKED the pity angle. I guess that leaves the guilt card though -- as in reminding her how fast she abandoned ship in your time of need.

    Why talk about the antibiotics? You could have simply said that you don't drink alcohol. I don't & have NEVER had a dancer walk away because I didn't drink alcohol.
