It is hard to see the ball much of the time. But I think it's the course not the camera. British open is like this too and this course is a links course like that.
How da fuck did FOX get the coverage? I think I found something that Joe Buck is worse at the baseball. Greg Norman not too bad though. They shot trace every drive - you would they could do something to highlight the ball.
Great finish though. I thought Spieth had it won then almost blew it but came back on 18 then Dustin Johnson kinda choked on his chance to send it into a playoff.
I never watched golf until I took up the game 8-10 years ago. It's completely different when you play. It's not like football that any non-athlete can appreciate. I think you have to play golf to like watching it.
Phil: I don't do anything I'm not passionate about so I naturally watch other guitarists/bands and other golfers. I bet everyone in my golf league watched the Open...I take it you're not in a league.
I like the news footage of Tiger Woods. He got excited when he found a golf ball in the rough. Made another bad shot and his golf club accidentally went flying when he hit some hard ground or rocks. Now he knows how almost everyone else feels on a bad day. :) Well except for finding the golf ball. I've found lots of golf balls. You have to mess up where golf balls go to heaven on the golf course.
I guess I am the exception. I haven't played golf in many years, but I enjoy watching it on TV. I watched almost all of this year's US Open. For a golf tournament, it was pretty interesting because of the quirky nature of the golf course. I di think the greens were not in the best shape and rewarded people at random. The rest of the course was a good test of golfing skill, just what the US Open is supposed to do. I was a little disappointed at the ending. I would have preferred a playoff tomorrow, rather than the 3 putt loss by DJ on the last hole. I prefer to see a golfer win it as aopposed to a golfer lose it on the last hole.

Even Holly Sonders can't quite save it.
And when was the last time you've seen freight trains running right next to a major course? Awesome.
