Does it seem like select group supports the Strip Club hobby?

Does it seem like select group supports the Strip Club hobby? First off, I am a regular. Every time I go in a strip club there is good percentage of regulars there. Over the years, have meet some of them, and we will compare notes on the talent available that day and other talent if I have seen them at other clubs. Thus getting intel old favs and clubs that are on upswing or downswing. I am not talking about the once a year folks that come for bachelor party, birthday, or some celebration. I am talking about the hard core regulars/players, that are really making the clubs money.

I got on this topic, because on recent visit saw guy that I had not seen for awhile. I naively assumed he was making license plates and getting 3 square meals a day courtesy of the state. Alas, he gives me sob story of too many bills and he has picked up a second job. Thus his absence.

What is upshot? I swear if 100 regulars moved out of Atlanta, many strip clubs would close!

Your experience?

Regulars help keep the industry alive, especially in the daytime.

Guys with money. Guys with mostly conservative political views. Guys who have given up on conventional relationships. Mostly guys who have given up on everything. Guys who are extremely jaded and unsentimental. Guys who have been badly hurt.

I rarely go to my favorite club without running into some TUSCL member and even without them I still see a lot of the same old faces.

In other clubs that I go to it seems obvious that the club/dancers rely on regulars. The girls won't get off their asses to come a spend time with a guy they don't know. How many reviews go on to say that most of the dancers were sitting around with regulars.

I guess it is a good thing that I am a regular at my favorite club.

Guys go to strip clubs because they exist. Especially since the invention of contact lap dances.

I agree with Shadowcat. Once a dancer has a stable of regulars, she's usually not all that excited to do cold calling. Especially if they've had a good night because the regulars showed up.

Case in point: Last time I went on a Friday the place was packed...I did my usual 5 with my ATF and suggested she do the rounds to make some REAL money (I don't tip her; she tells me not to). 5 minutes later she comes back to me and says if I just pay the house I'll get 30 min in CR with her. I asked about all the potential money she could make and she said she made enough and just wanted a drink and a nap. We went to the CR, she did her usual excellent job on me, and we both napped on the couch until the bouncer had to wake us up. That cost her money for sure but she didn't care, and I got a CR trip for less than half price!

Hard to say – perhaps in a small neighborhood type dive; the regulars may be a bigger chunk of the pie – but in large upscale clubs I would think they are a smaller/less-significant piece of the pie.

I would say overall they are a smaller piece of the overall pie but I could be wrong.

I assume every club needs a mix of regulars and tourists to thrive.

One of the main reasons I abandoned the Vegas clubs (at least the big name ones) was because the PL's were 99% tourists, so the dancers never cared to go that extra mile and offer more for a regular. They never bother with regulars- too much trouble and not worth it, especially with easy mark tourists abounding. It was too easy for them to offer no mileage and hit up drunk tourists that they could ROB because they would never see them again. Fuck that.

sclv: This is true!! Big city clubs in tourist cities (South Beach is another) have the worst SC experiences unless you're tossing out $$$$ and end up with an OTC. Smaller local clubs like mine provide regulars with a much higher quality experience, because they want you back.

Tootsies in Miami has a healthy national reputation and is becoming a bit touristy-like w/ many dancers not caring for $25 LDs and just wanting to do VIP which normally sets you back at least $400 (and more for some of the better looking hos).

It varies by club. Although, IME, infrequent visitors out number regulars by wide margin. Assuming the club charges a cover or sells alcohol, then the club makes out on the high number of infrequent visitors. Regulars are better at helping dancers make money.

This does vary by club and location. In a tourist area, and in very upscale clubs, there are fewer regulars.

A place like Follies ATL may have more regs since in my limited ATL experience Follies is the only game in town w.r.t. great mileage on the floor and VIP – thus the hobbyists/regular-SC-goers will be in-the-know and tend to gravitate to this club instead of these in-the-know regs being spread out amongst clubs offering similar mileage

Papi- Actually regulars are more noticeable in other Atlanta clubs because they are usually the only customers there. They go every day for an hour or 2 and have a couple of drinks with their favorite dancer and get a couple of dances.

At Follies with a few exceptions the dancers don't hang out with the same customers for hours. They get their dances or VIPs and then move on to the next customer.

I've always assumed regulars and semi-regulars dominated during the days and weeknights. While the occasional members visit on the weekends.

Regulars are critical to this industry. I alone support three strip clubs.

From reading the pink site, some girls live almost solely off regulars, while others almost discourage them. It's not a shock that low mileage SW girls wouldn't like most regulars... they can only string a guy along for so long with mostly air dances.

The hot, low mileage girls at my club definitely rely on churn. OTOH, a couple girls I know are extras girls have a steady stream of guys who clearly come in just for them.

Don't most forms of live entertainment rely on regular customers? Think sport season ticket holders, concert goers, theatre lovers, auto racing fans, etc. No surprise strip clubs rely on us and others who really dig strippers.

It probably depends on which club it is, but at the club I visit the most, I can go there at 9pm on Friday and I will recognize half the customers. I do talk with one of them, at least in part because we share a favorite.

Lots of good comments. I have noticed that the low mileage girls usually have no regulars, so will hit up the traveling business guys and non-regulars in the club. Also if I cool off on a girl for awhile she will stop coming by and can be difficult to get her back.

Sometimes being a regular can be a hassle if you want to branch out to new girls. This has happened to me. But worst case I saw was a guy that went to Pink Pony (a low mileage club) and had herd of regular girls. One day was at Shooter Alley and saw the guy sitting alone at the bar, so when I got break from the girls walked over and asked him why he was not at Pink Pony. He told me that he got tired of the 'expectation' of his girls when he walked in to get dances/drinks from him, so he had to go to new club to break the mold. Yuck!
