i find the area maps (Google mashup) of clubs real handy when I'm traveling. They seem to have been pulled. Are there plans to replace or restore the maps?

It seems that the area maps have been replaced by the "Near me now" feature, which I would only find useful when travelling. When I'm at home, I don't need that feature.
"Near me now" which is f-ing useless if you don't own a smart-ass phone
I miss the maps too!!!!
