SCing in International Waters

Piggybacking on shadowcat’s “Bering Sea crab boat turned strip club” thread; I was thinking all up in my skull (as Juice would put it) about a strip-club boat that would go into international waters in order to get its SC freak on and away from local ordinances. Here in South Florida; we have boats that go a few miles off the coast into international waters and then provide gambling (not sure of all the details as to why they do it and the benefits). So I was thinking all up in PL skull (Juiceism) – what about a strip-club boat doing the same thing as what the casino boats do – hmm? Of course; this would only work in coastal areas – but dammit it can be a hell of a niche. Someone actually down here in South Florida told me about such a SC boat existing; but I’ve never heard anything about it so I think it was CS (Customer Shit). Seems like it could perhaps be a profitable niche – anyone with business savvy that would like to go in on this let me know.

Never heard of a SC boat, but I don't doubt they could exist and make some pretty beneficial profit! Every time you go, it'll be at a different port, and the women would be tanned, sexy, beach babes. It'll basically be a party boat with music and dancing...and strippers! The money they'd make off of bachelor and bachelorette parties would be phenomenal. Pretty cool concept if you ask me.

^ Damn jabber - good point - we have a fair amount of Indian casinos down here in South Florida - I'm gonna have to talk to those Indians.

I've brought up the question of Indian reservations in the past but no one seemed to know if it was possible.

Something like that would have to get past the tribal council. They tend to be pretty much NO when it comes to "exploiting" someone, so some education would need to be done explaining that it is not exploiting. One would need a champion who is a member of the tribe to act as the go to person else, the rest of the tribe won't even hear about it. (Even then it is the reputation of the member depends on if the tribe takes his idea seriously.) But when it comes to tribal stuff, what the tribe does is a reflection on the tribe. Chance (gambling) and "exploitation" (perception of stripping) are two very different things. Crimes are perceived differently - for in the "white" world, jail would be used, often in the Indian world reparations would be used. This mind set makes Indian reservations very unlikely for adult dance clubs.

The boat is a great idea, although no need to just be a strip club. You could have a brothel. This could be the way to bring FKK clubs to America's shores.

@JS: I'm sure that would depend on which country you're boat is 'flagged' (registered) in. I don't see and FKK cruise going down on a US flagged vessel (or most other countries).

and the coast guard would probably hall you in for human trafficking regardless of where your boat is flagged

Indian Reservations? Shadowcat, that is a very interesting idea. You know we have casinos in California on Indian Reservations. They are contentious, especially in how much tax they should pay. But this could be, SC's on Indian Reservations. Not sure that this gets it out from under many laws, but it does make the laws harder to enforce. SJG

What do you suppose they would do when the bouncer has to throw someone out of the club?

The Simpsons had monkey knife fights in international waters. Unfortunately, Pirates intervened.

There are laws about getting physical with people. Bouncers and everyone else must be held to it. You can't let a club go on with bully bouncers. It is a cancer. SJG

I thought this was another thread I had posted on, not this thread about the crab boat, but a thread about a problem in a club in Athens Georgia SJG

After you've spent all of your money, you are stuck on the boat depressed for hours until it gets back to port. For this same reason, the old riverboat casinos quit going out on the rivers for cruises and just stayed parked on the river bank.

Actually, they quit going out on rivers to save fuel and the bulk of their crew costs. I did stability assessments and enhancements for a number of them.
