Strip clubs that are outright scams?

Avatar for OneAngryDwarf

I'm heard of two such places in the US, the Can-Can Room in Las Vegas (/stripclub.php), and the Adult Entertainment Club in Key West (/stripclub.php a laugh, read through the reviews...obvious shills are obvious.)

Any other places you've heard of (or worse, been to) that are nothing but a front for scam artists? Not just a bad encounter with a random ROB, I mean a place where the entire operation is designed to bilk as much money out of you as possible while giving nothing in return.

Living Dolls, also in key west, has been having a running shill battle with Adult Entertainment Club for years.

Seems like this question can be applied to ALL Vegas Clubs.

Also, in Las Vegas: Girls of Glitter Gulch. It's a tourist trap, right on Fremont Street. Walking distance to lots of hotels and casinos. I've learned to recognize tourist trap clubs over the years, and have managed to avoid them.

The Palace East, or what ever they call it these days, you pay to get in, pay to enter the no touching vip, and drinks are expensive!

To get in, have a beer and get a dance you are looking at over fifty bucks!

I have never been inside the Can Can in LV, driven past it hundreds of times. It has the impression of being a dive. Club Goer is right about GGG, I have never heard anything good about the place and in all my times of walking past have never seen anyone go in or out. The lightshow outside is a lot better I expect, especially the Queen tribute which is fantastic and I love the way all you guys sing along with 'We Will Rock You' !!

“Club Madonna” - Miami Beach, FL

No doubt the business plan there is just to ROB unsuspecting PLs (e.g. tourists) – would warn anyone about going in there – is not as if one “may” get ROBed; one will get ROBed; it’s the only thing they do

In a sense, aren't all SCs scams, selling fantasy for our cold cash?

There used to be this one place in the northwest Chicago suburbs I went to that would fit this description. I got a lap dance and they then told me I owed all this money. I'm like, I didn't agree to that. I hightailed out of there as fast as possible and never went back. That place goes down as the worst place I ever went to.

There's this place. It's called Taco Bell. They claim to sell Mexican food. I say, stay away.

@Slick -- Back in the 80's Taco Bell had some sort of handout on nutrition. That's where I learned about the four food groups:

Tacos with extra sawdust in the beef

Burritos with refrieds-like substance

Hot sauce

Cinnamon crispas

@Slick - Yes, brother! Can we have a big AMEN from the congregation?

And by the way the four basic food groups a salt, fat, chocolate and preservatives.

This is the most recent review (at posting time) of Glitter Gulch in Las Vegas. It's exactly what I was referring to:

+1 on rh48 post. Hey Slick, I thought Taco Bell was a Mexican telephone company, so it never occured to me to stop there for food.
