In most places now, strip clubs, like restaurants, bars, theaters and other places of business, are classified by the law as "public places" (improperly, IMO, but that's another discussion). That's how they get away with regulating your sexual behavior, alcohol consumption, smoking, etc, in ways they couldn't if you were at home. Sex in public is illegal in lots of places, even with one's spouse, and since a club is a "public" place, even though it isn't, if they can't get you on anything else, or revenues are short, or he's being a jerk, an officer can cite you for it.

In many places, prostitution isn't just money for sex, it's money for sexual *services*. Playing with your wife's tits or, especially, clit while you're fucking her is definitely a sexual service. Also in lots of places, though, a prostitution conviction can't be proven by the testimony of one party towards the other(s). That's the way Kentucky works.
