  Well... 110Mil infections doesn't mean 110Mil people with infections since one person can have multiple infections (article states CDC is measuring # of infections not # of infected people) also... assuming ~100Mil people with an infection out of a population of ~300MIl... that a 1/3 change of some being infected (NOT: a 1/3 change of someone NOT being infected) Sill not good odds.

  Also, just someone being infected does not guarantee you will get it, even if you BB.

  I agree with Shadowcat's asessment, and noticed the same thing. Do the tests take THAT LONG to come back for analysis? 5 years? Weird....

How would the viruses and bacteria know if you were (or just thought you were) a RICH STUD or not.

  The numbers in this story include HPV which make up the extreme majority of infections (79 million) and Herpes type 2 (24 million). If you have EVER had sex you have probably been exposed to both. For men, in both cases, the symptoms are usually mild - if any. Even the meanest Herpes2 cases often slow or cease outbreaks over time. And that leaves fewer than 7 million cases of all other STDs combined. That is something less than 2% of the population (330,000,000 +/-). Even if strippers are 5 times more likely to have an STD, you are still safer in a strip club (before 2AM) than out fishing!
