What are some clubs in which you have had good food and also any with bad food experiences? I typically avoid food at strip clubs and choose instead eat at regular restaurants. But there are lots of customers that go to clubs just for the food ...
The upscale clubs in Detroit have good food. I've eaten often at Flight Club and Penthouse. The burgers and sandwiches give the best value, while the more expensive entrees are a little over-priced.
Chris Rock says it's nasty to eat in strip clubs, but I disagree. The strippers are not cooking the food or serving it. Upscale strip clubs have chefs and their kitchens are inspected like any other restaurant. Of course, there are strip clubs where I would not eat (and I also would not touch the dancers), but similarly there are restaurants where I would never eat.
My favorite club, Follies, has a menu that I have nver tried but I have tried their daily free buffet. BBQ meat balls, ribs, wings, Mac & cheese, french fries, green beans, hot dogs, pop corn shrimp, etc. Usualy 4 items each day. I have gotten into the habit of eating it regularily. Tasty.
The best strip club food that I have ever eaten was at the Mens Club in Charlotte and Scores in Tampa. Both have full service restaurants and both were excellent. With respect to Scores, I just happened to wander in on a night when they were holding an party for livery drivers and I ate from a beautiful buffet, including a carving station, for free and even got drunk for almost nothing.
In my general experiences though, strip club food is not good. Now the clubs that provide buffets regularly tend to do a decent job of it, but those that simply offer food off of a menu are, more times than not, pretty bad at the whole food thing.
I've only ate in a club twice. It was at this club called Daddy Rabbits here in Richmond, VA.
It was during one of my rare day-time visits. One time, it was a burger and fries. The other time, it was steak and fries. Both were the free lunch with admission type deal.
The food was OK, at best. These are the only times I've ate in a club, so I can't speak much on strip club food.
Platinum Plus in Columbia, South Carolina has a good free buffet Wednesday through Friday in the afternoon. The Inner Room in Cocoa Beach, Florida has a good free buffet on Sunday nights. I don't mind free food one bit.
Motorhead you made me laugh. I wonder if anyone else got the reference.
Back on topic: I just tried the food at Men's Club in Reno. Stuck with the burger and fries to play it safe. They turned out OK, I would have another. I wouldn't call it 4 star fare as they want you to believe but it was a good burger.
I have eaten the buffet at Platinum Plus in Columbia and the buffet at Follies in Atlanta. Both were free and both have been decent food on all the times I tried them. Nothing fancy, but nice if you are hungry and want a snack.
Out of the dozen or so stripclubs where I've had meals (hot dogs/burgers and above, not happy hour chips n' dips), the main standouts are Mens Club- Dallas, and the Friday afternoon comp buffet Bare Elegance- LAX. Honorable mention goes to post midnight "deals"- Big Als- Peoria (steak dinner), and Cheetah 3 - Pompano Beach (extensive comp breakfast buffet).
I haven't (knock on wood) had any bad experiences with stripclub food. I've had my share with fast/takeout food, regular buffets, bars, etc.
Totally agree w/ minnow about Bare Elegance-LAX grub....mighty tasty stuff. The nearby Jet Strip also has pretty good food. I miss the beloved Wild Goose (R.I.P. 2011). Although it was a dive bar, it had some of the best food that I've ever had in a stripclub in LA.
Mario's in Webster MA and Rhode Island Dolls in Woonsocket RI are two that I can say are good.Foxy Lady in Brockton MA puts out a free buffet that is hit/miss depending on what is being served.
The only strip club I ever ate at was The Flamingo Club in Lawrence, Kansas. They had a lunch buffet that was pretty good, but nothing fancy. In general, I don't want to eat at a strip club, though.
I forgot one. Shotgun Geniez in Hamburg, Iowa used to have a restaurant in the other part of the building the club is in and you could order food there and I did order food there once, just a hamburger. Not especially good and the restaurant, which basically had the same ownership, but was a different business, closed up awhile ago. I could actually go into a very long discourse about that, but I won't.
lopaw; I suppose that I should add TWG to honorable mention list for having a free hotdog with drink order many years ago.
To clarify a few things: By "bad experience", I mean a dining visit that results in an urgent/lengthy visit to the toilet some time after the meal. I also generally favor going to "specialists" for what I want.( I wouldn't go to a Red Lobster to order a "turf" meal). Yet, eating stripclub food can be a timesaver in that one can scope out the talent while ordering/eating meal vs spending 20 or so minutes at a regular eatery.
Tootsies in Miami had a decent kitchen and I’ve eaten their steak (not the free buffet type) on a couple of occasions although I prefer to eat my meals in a regular restaurant.
Once got pretty ill with the free breakfast buffet that was served at a SC in Dallas in the late morning (around 1:00 a.m. since the club closed at 2:00 a.m.). – I tend to stay away from these now.
I also like eating at Tootsies in Miami since they have a large sports bar (in a separate room) with large screen TVs showing sports and that is where I usually like eating my meals there. I can’t really eat in peace with a plethora of naked women walking around me – I got indigestion eating a meal at a SC once like that.
There's a local club that has a "potluck" setup periodically, in celebration of some event. They had one for Hallowe'en, and they've done it for the managers' birthdays and such. I generally partake when I'm there on such occasions, though I do have this niggling little thought about what would happen if one of the dancers were to lace their dish with something. Fortunately, the...less responsible among them either don't bring anything, or go to Kroger, etc, to bring a pre-made thing. They're generally pretty decent, and it can be an excuse to sit with a dancer without buying a drink, if you're both eating. And it tends to be free.

last commentOne is no longer in existence. They had food catered in from a great local Italian spot.
Second one, I tried a burger for their free lunch special. Good, not great, but great price.
Third, I just shared some of what my favorite had ordered before I arrived. Was good Cuban food.
1. Kahoots (OK)
2. Sirens (horrible and overpriced drinks)
3. cols gold (horrible and only on friday/saturday)
In conclusion.... kahoots is the only strip club I would eat at in town.
Many lunches at French Maid and Boudoir Rouge in Calgary (close to my company's offices). Good pizza at Boudoir Rouge.
Also many lunches at Rig Pig in Nisku. Pretty good standard pub grub.

Are there any SCs in the Napa Valley?
I doubt it. (but I knew farmerart would)
