I was at a club and while grinding her body on my erect dick, she mentioned loving her job. I had asked her if she like giving lap dances and she said "I love everything about my job, I love what I do". I wonder is that true denial, a blatant lie, or is it true. Do they really love grinding on strangers dicks?
FONDL: "But that's true in any field, the positive people are always the most successful."
Sounds like just another of the stupid self-help mantras we hear so much of on this board.
Pleny of successful "negative" people. Success is more correlated with hard work and competence than "positivity" or "negativity". In fact, I don't think the latter factors in much at all. (Unless you are talking about managers in which case part of the job is putting on a "positive" face. Many of these manager are not all that positive deep down though when you talk to them off the record.)
Same thing with the "positive" strippers. I am very suspcious when I meet these and like to dig down a bit.
Usually the "positivity" is an egg shell thin armor these use to protect their sensitive selves.
Strippers are like everyone else, there are some aspects of their jobs that they enjoy (good pay, flexible hours, party-like atmosphere, etc.) and other aspects that they don't (annoying bosses and customers, hustling.) Some people are by nature positive people and will focus on the good, others are negative and focus on the bad. The girls who say they like the job are probably in the former category. They're also the most successful. But that's true in any field, the positive people are always the most successful.
One of my ATF's used to always say she loved her job, but I think her sole rationale was because she could make easy money. I don't know how any dancers would like it without using money as the rationale.
I would guess there are a decent sized minority that do. I think te primary way to determine this is the type of club one is stripping in. In Vegas you have your super upscale places like Seamless and Club Paradise which attract a high-end crowd. generally speaking these clubs prolly wouldn't juss hire someone off the street making it more likely that the girl will like her job. Other places like Glitter Gulch and Talk of the Town attract a lower end clientele (NOT that there's anything wrong with that) making the kind of girl they hire perhaps less sophisticated and worldly and ergo less likely to like their position.
From what I see, 50% do not like it, and we can see it from their attitude and their approch. 25% just pretend they like it, they give some company in a mechanical way and the lap dance too, and won't disappoint us or make us very happy.
The remaining 20 to 25% pretend or like or really like what they are doing. They give us nice company while having drinks and great lap dances. This group of dancers make us to have their repeat patrons. They stay longer and many patron do repeat visits to their clubs.
The kind of "I love my job" that 3Cooney describes is a customer-pleasing, heat-of-the-moment exclamation and shouldn't really be taken as an overall assessment. I think Shadowcat's got it right.
