How much is it normal to spend in one night?

How much is it normal to spend in a typical night at a strip club? I realize people have different approaches and do vastly different things, but I have no concept of what the typical person spends, in the typical night at a strip club.

I've spent $600+ in an afternoon. I NEVER to to Clubs at night! But I'm NOT a penny pincher who wants to spend $60 or less & try to be VASTLY entertained!!! The more Cash you can budget, the better time you can have. NEVER use a Credit card in a Club, ALWAYS Cash!!!! LOL

"Why do you never go to clubs at night?" I find the atmosphere a bit more laid back in the afternoon, There are more men close to my age group there, I don't want to be in a Club FULL of young 20 something immature Drunk Males, Management can be more laid back about VIP rules, also dancers may be looser with VIP rules, plus I Club in detroit Michigan & I DON'T want to be driving to & home from Detroit after dark. Also less chance of L.E. harassing me about leaving place serving alcohol, even though I NEVER Drink alcohol. Finally I won't become 1 of shadowcat's multitude 2AM violence news articles!! LMFAO

Make a budget and spend that. I use the card at the bar, (but expect to get hit with a $50-$100 hold) but bring a cash allowance for dancers. Get friendly with a teller and get nice uncirculated bills for tips on the reg. I, for one, don't like to slip funky ass bills down a girls g-string. But yeah get a budget, start cheap but have a stack if miss right winds up in your lap. Happy Clubbing! Doc

So you're a cheapo hey gatorfan! LOL At least that's MORE than the $60 threshold! LOL

Normal depends on if you are planning on throwing around enough money to get a stripper to ignore the rules and do extra for you. The better advice is to use the reviews here to put together a budget based on what you are expecting to have happen, and then stick to the budget.

It varies, I've spent less than $20 and I've spent over $600. Last night I spent $100. I usually spend about $30 or $40 unless I'm getting a room. When I get a room I usually spend an extra $200 or so on the room depending on which club I'm at.

I prefer the term cost effective. Not all strip clubs are created equal.

Over the last year I’ve spent about $400 per visit – no VIP – just LDs. I like, scratch that, I LOVE variety – the more dancers the better. I am not good at budgeting although I do believe it’s good to do so. I like to have a good time at the SC and leave satisfied – if I have the $$$ I’ll spend it – if I don’t – I usually won’t go. It helps that I am single and have no children so I can cutback in other areas when I spend too much SCing. The most I’ve spent in one visit was ~$700 and one time I spent ~$1300 in a weekend (actually it was a Fr, Sat, and Mo. night visit).

I'm in Papi's range and I do tend to go on benders which can be really bad. The surprise for me is if there's still cash in my wallet when I get home. Then it probably wasn't a great night.

Depends if you were following txtittyfan's financial advice or not (i.e. short treasuries over the last three years). If you did, you're probably borrowing just to pay the cover. If you didn't and did the opposite, well the sky's the limit!

Impossible to give an accurate answer. I know some dancers that tell me certain customers only come in on Two Dollar Tuesdays and when asked for a dance, their response is "will you take the $3 I have left" ...and some who have spent 4 grand in the VIP Normal is somewhere in between

I budget my money and since right now I am trying out new clubs I often only take $100 cash inside. If I need or want more its in the car. I will never use a CC in a club and usually do not even take my wallet inside. And just 5 days ago I spent $35 total on a visit when the talent was poor quality. But I have spent $400 on a visit some nights. I don't club in Detroit so sometimes I end up inside a club after dark!

I think it also depends on where you club. It will cost you more to club in Vegas than it will in Phoenix. Set a budget based on your financial means and stick to it.

rh48r makes a great point. Here, in Virginia, the dance prices START at $50 AND you have to pre-pay. You do get two songs for that $50, but what if you don't like the dance after the first song? Just another reason Virginia clubs suck. I usually spend $100. The most I've ever spent was about $160.

have to agree with rh48hr on this one Vegas definitely calls the higher dollars - and for what I've spent there I can get plenty in places on the east cost for 1/2 that price. Budge what you can - I've spent more than i want on one trip.

I usually spend between 150-250. If I had anything less that on hand I probably wouldn't bother because I know me....LOL!

Of course, I'm not normal, but I usually spend $500 on a visit to one of my favorite clubs.

You guys should talk to Dougster and you won't have to spend anything. After all, he has a "secret" that strippers are not into it for the money. Oh wait, he already stated he has spent 10,000 on one fav, and also made the statement he has spent "boatloads" on strippers. Never mind.

About $0 at night. Like Alucard, I don't go at nights and for about the same reasons. Also, I work visits in around my work. On my other (not night) visits, the cost is rather low as well. Most are quick visits, a Jack or two, then gone. Now if I find the right dancer, those times become more costly, somewhere in the $200 range.

I budget club dependent. I budget more going to a Flight Club than I do for Bogarts. I would set an upper limit at a Flight club at $500 to $550 and Bogart's at $200 to $250. I to find afternoons more laid back and the maturity of the cutomers is better and the hustle factor is lower. I am not to particular as to when I go. I go when I have time and inclination.

I've gone crazy and dropped 1400 in one night. I'm also in NYC and prices are high here. If you keep your head on straight you can have a good time for around 1-200... but not a lot of mileage for that.

I’ve noticed some folks warn/advice against using credit cards in the SC. Is this b/c: 1) Don’t want to leave a paper trail? If so, why not? b/c it may affect your job/career status, or b/c of a SO? 2) Is it for security reasons as you may not trust SC personnel with your CC or CC# - has anyone had bad experiences w/ this? 3) Or b/c it may give you access to way more $$$ than you would want to spend if you were thinking w/ the right head?

What the hell do you cheapskates do all night in a SC, spending just $50-$100? Even in the lame-o Alberta clubs that I frequent (not spending a nickel on private dances) my bar tab can easily be approaching $100 by itself. Throw in cover charge, taxi, maybe some food and total for an evening is in the $200 range. A trip to No 5 Orange in Vancouver (proud home of the $50 lap dance) would be a miracle for me to leave spending less than $500. In US clubs (with 19 different fees) and serious action in the VIP I have no trouble spending $500-$600. If I want budget entertainment I will go for a hike around my farm, play with my dog, smell the flowers, watch the birds, work on my restoration project, etc. SCs are not places to pinch pennies.

@Papi_Chulo: All three of those are valid reasons, and each has been cited on these boards multiple times. News stories, about guys with multi-tens of thousands of dollars charged to their credit card (without Farmerart's insane liquidity) just reinforce those. @Art: Some of us don't have an effectively unlimited supply of cash in our back pockets to waste on non-productive clubs or nights. If things ain't working out, I cut my losses and get out of Dodge, to either go somewhere else, or head home, depending on mood.
  • Papi_Chulo

" ... waste on non-productive clubs or nights ..." Agreed – but it is safe to assume that if one is spending a significant amount of $$$ in the SC is b/c they are having a good/productive time.
  • Papi_Chulo

“SCs are not places to pinch pennies” I’ve come to the same conclusion over time. Just like one would not penny pinch w.r.t. finding a good heart surgeon b/c one may not receive the best treatment – penny pinching in the SC may often also result in subpar treatment :)
  • Papi_Chulo
“SCs are not places to pinch pennies” Another way I’ve come to convince myself that spending $$$ in the SC will often get you better treatment is as a result of the following analogy: I’ve noticed that female porn actresses will do just about anything that is required of them (or desired by the male viewers/customers) and also pretend that they really like and enjoy it. But it all comes down to the fact that they do what they do, and do it well, b/c they are being well compensated for it, in their eyes. So I’ve come to the conclusion, correct or not , that if I want a dancer(s) to perform to my liking, compensating them well, but fare (i.e. spending $$$), will often produce the desired behavior/treatment.

I usually average about $400. This includes dances, drinks, and tips. Of course I have spent as little as $100 and as high as $750, but those were not normal nights. I budget too. I set my limit @ 300 to 400 now. I generally go 2 or 3 times a month, depending on my mood. Sometimes not at all.

Mike, I said their primary motivation was not making money. I didn't say it was no factor at all or that it wasn't something that was not achieved as a byproduct of their more primary motives. But I'm sure the distinction is way too subtle for a brain as dumb as yours to ever grok. I'll try and simplify it. Do you think your typical school teacher's motivation for working as a teacher is to make money? Doubt it. It's not a very well paying job. Now even though it's not their primary motivation do you most teachers would continue to work if they weren't getting paid anything? Hopefully that example is so simple that even your dumb brain can get it mike, but I have my doubts. Also don't get me wrong. Most school teachers have nobler motives than the ignoble ones that strippers do. mikeya02 = in competition with txtittyfan for dumbest poster on TUSCL ever

Gee, Dougie, all I said was you spend lots of money on strippers even though they are not really into for the money. Your little secret. So what is it? Your post was stupid and said nothing. School teachers?! And "grok" is very nerdy, Doug. Another example of you trying way too hard.
  • Dougster
No, mike you said if their primary motivation was not the money then you should not have to spend any money. Go back and read your own post, you fuckin' moron.

Right, I should be an old stupid idiot like you and play with viking action figures. Got it! Let me get to work on that.

Er no Doug, I said no such thing. I repeated YOUR words. Another example of Doug not owning up and making shit up. There is quite a few of them.
  • Dougster
No, mike, you repeated what you thought I meant, but did not repeat them word for word. If you repeated them word for word provide a link with a direct quote. Oh, that's right you can't because your dumb brain got in the way of what was actually said and added its own stupid, incorrect interpretation. But, I'll give you chance. Show me the link! Provide the exact words (i.e. not your stupid interpretation of them). Fuckin' moron.
  • Dougster
Here, I'll help you out a little bit mike since your brain is probably too dumb to figure out how to go back and look at old posts here: "First, despite what they will tell you, I don't think most strippers primary motivation is the money." [view link] No why don't you take a break from being a fuckin' moron and just play with your viking action figures. Ra! Thor comes to life and smashes the head of that evil non-whore respecting Dougster with his battle hammer!

Sounds like Dougster is still being rejected by dancers in the clubs.

Dougie, strippers not into it for the money and money is not strippers primary motivation is the same thing. Dumbass! You cant even read a post. I tell you I dated two girls that were in Playboy and you read it as I spent thousands on Playboy models. What a wackjob! Viking action figures?! Any more nerdy zingers Dougie?

I explained the difference to you above, mikey, don't play dumb with me. Oh wait, a minute, your history here makes it abundantly clear that you are not "playing", but you are the real deal. A little intuition I have about you mike. You are the kind of guy who had great difficulty in school, right? Even graduating high school was a challenge for you. Worked only blue collar jobs throughout your life (not making a judgment here) the most successful of which was... hairdresser?
  • Dougster
It's way above your level, mike, so I am just making fun of you now. The formal term is "equivocation". Trying to take my statement and "not in it for the money" and "would work even if there was no money" to all mean the same thing. But I have seen you have to look up words even more basic than that to get their meaning, so while you are visiting webster, might want to try looking up the word "whore" and tell me if you think the "dancer" who tells you "you're the only one I do this for" qualifies. Have a nice weekend playing with the viking action figures, Mike.

@txtittyfan: Hmmm... Let's see I got a call for OTC middle of last week from a number I got last week. Yesterday I got a new number for OTC. Yep, lots of dancer rejection lately. Whatever shall I do! :-( Guess I'll just have to resign, admit your are right, and that the girls really do only do OTC with patrons who respect them. (LMFAO, you are such a fuckin' moron.)
