Women In The Oil Patch
Women just do not figure in the gritty jobs of oil exploration. I have employed several women in professional capacities - geophysicists, mathematicians, computer weenies, secretaries, etc. but never for any of the hard-ass jobs. Touring well sites this week, I was flabbergasted to see that my drilling contractor has hired a woman as a heavy duty mechanic. When I saw her, she had a diesel generator stripped for repair. Obviously she knew what she was doing.
Kinda hot, too. Pretty woman, hair in pigtails, grease smear on one cheek, hard hat, coveralls, filthy safety boots, foul vocabulary. Don't know how that costume would fly in a SC.

Admire from afar Art. LOL
Females seem especially drawn to geophysics. Sometimes the grad students are about 80 percent female (mostly Asian). Females are also the majority in environmental and hydro. Males still seem to dominate the more traditional geology concentrations - hardrock geology, sed & strat, and petroleum.
Whether in a Hospital, Nursing Home or your own home you probably won't have the choice of picking your Nurse strictly on looks. Unless, of course, you hire a Private Duty Nurse via interviews & dictate Age & Looks as your most important criteria.
agreeded, I'd rather have a women doc inpsecting my parts than another dude
art - I love a gal with a smudge of grease and a potty mouth. She single? Play for both teams? Give her my number ;)
