seems to be a slow but steady rise in the cost of VIP. club rates used to be in the $25 to $40 range. now several that clubs that I visit in my travels have increased to $50 to the club and the dancer negotiates her price. don't club owners realize that we are in a recession? higher drink fees, higher door charges, mandatory valet parking, minimum drink order. seems like they are just trying to squeeze as much as they can.
About 6 months ago, Follies was considering raising their VIP room charges and had a meeting with the dancers to discuss it. Before the meeting one of my favorites talked about it with me and agreed that it was a bad idea. She went to the meeting and the end result was that there was no increase.
The only way to beat higher prices at the clubs is to just refuse to do business with them. That is tough when high mileage clubs are hard to find.
One club with which I'm familiar raised the room fee from $25 to $50 recently. I haven't been to vip since so I don't know if most dancers are charging $25 more or it just comes out of their end. As we all know, everything is negotiable.
Flashers is 75 during the day but u can get it sometimes for 60 night is 125. Then the girls are anywhere from 100 to stupid money of 300 they would make a lot more if they lowered there price

@10 inches - what kind of VIP? Are you talking about a private room ($50 sounds cheap for that), a semi-private area, or just a separate area for lap dances that's called the VIP and you have to pay an entrance fee?

That's sort of my question too. I have to pay a $20/trip fee at BT's in Dearborn MI for every trip to their back room area. I'm not real pleased with having to pay it every trip. I'd rather deal with a 1 time fee for the duration of my stay that afternoon.
Add me to the "what kind of VIP are you talking about" crowd. Locally, VIP ranges from $100 for a half hour to $350 for an hour. There's one club that has an hour for $150, but most are in the $120-150 for a half hour and $180-200 for an hour.
Of that, typically about half goes to the dancer, but most of them still expect a "tip" for their time and "effort".
Last time I checked, and I'm sorry I can't remember which club but it was a mid-scale one in Detroit, it was $200 for a half hour of which the club takes $50 and the girl gets $150.
VIP charges? Wha' dat? In my Toronto hunting grounds most clubs have NO VIP fees. Now, these VIPs are crude, wide open public affairs but the mileage is off the charts. My favourite club does have a fee of $20 for each VIP trip but again, off the chart mileage. In clubs in Alberta and British Columbia the dances are so tame that no club would even dare to try to charge this fee.
The level of economic understanding in this country is abysmal. A perfect example of what to do in times like these is another service business that also caters to our "surplus" dollars, restaurants. Just about every one advertises special deals. They don't sit back and raise prices!
We would be thrilled with pricing like any that have been discussed. In Chicago area VIP means only a special seating area where the most dancers go first (but that is even not consistently the case as it depends on the dancer and where they want to go) and is usually a $20-30 fee paid directly to the bouncer. VIP ROOMS (champagne etc) usually start from $200 in the way outer areas (think Bloomington/Normal area) to $300 (Club O) to even higher at 390. Those are 30 min prices and do not include dancer or bouncer tips. Add all that up and now you know why we have not done more champagne room visits in Chicago.
I don't know about over there but over here there is no correlation between the economy and lap dance/vip prices. I don't thin there is nothing that will drive prices downwards.

We need the SC equivalent of the dollar value menu!
