Strippers Are People Too

Attached is a podcast that I hope will be of interest.
It is an interview with two London dancers talking about their experiences as dancers and the current campaign in parts of London to ban strip venues. In Tower Hamlets, an area with around 7 venues, the local authority is drawing up plans to close them all, encouraged by an alliance of religious (mainly Muslim) groups and supposed feminists. At least one other London borough has tried to introduce a similar ban, but so far, failed.
It includes the dancers accounts of their efforts to speak on behalf of their chosen line of employment, in Parliament and a recent public meeting convened to discuss the proposed ban.

You seem to have hit the Nail on the Head. We need to keep people like that "out of power"!
I have not heard it yet, however Tower Hamlets is not an area I like to visit, especially at night. Even the Rotweillers go around in pairs there.
Alucard, a sizeable proportion of those 10% are immigrants that come here from Eastern Europe to work cash in hand to deprive the natives of income and in addition claim un-employment and a whole host of other welfare benefits that they send back home. Now THAT'S dumb.
