Erection-Boosting Condom By Futura Medical And Reckitt Benckiser Nears EU Approval
The so-called "Viagra condom" that helps sustain erections moved closer to approval in Europe.
The so-called "Viagra condom" came another step closer to popping up on store shelves and in bedrooms on June 20 when Futura Medical, the product's maker, said the rubber was recommended for European Union approval, Reuters reported.
For now, the prophylactic is technically named the CSD500, but because it contains a gel designed to help men's erections last longer, it acquired the Viagra nickname.
The condom will be sold under the Durex brand, which is made by Reckitt Benckiser and could be approved within a month by the EU, Dow Jones reported.
If Futura gets an OK from the EU, the condom could be sold in 29 European countries.
