Credit cards in clubs

Do strip clubs in Rhode Island area take credit cards? How does it work? Do they check your ID against the credit card? It's a work credit card...nothing shady. How would it show up on my bill? Thx. Any help would be appreciated.

I would advise not to use a credit card somewhere where they try and gouge you with charges left and right, common sense tells us that this is a bad idea though some still do it. Also most places or ATM's will add the address on your statement so anyone with half a brain could see you were at a strip club.
If that doesn't cure you, get out the scissors and cut up the cards.
What do you want to use your credit card for in RI? a bar/food tab? or to pay for lap dances? Best idea is to pay cash for LDs as strippers appreciate the cash because they get it right then and there. If you pay with credit card there is going to be small doubt that maybe they will never see the money because they are going to forget, get fired, or you will end up trying a charge back.
If you can't afford to go in with cash, then in my opinion you should just not go. Scams at clubs involving overcharging cards are common. Additionally, you usually have to buy funny money in order to tip a dancer, which usually comes at a big premium. Also, it is easy to get just plain stupid with a credit card.
And a work card is a double no-no. What happens if you get stupid and have trouble paying off the charges? Most work cards are American Express, which must be paid off in full each month. I actually worked with a guy once who had that exact problem and he lost his job over it.
Dude, his should be treated as a cash and carry activity. If you cannot pay the freight with cash on hand then you might want to find something else to do.
Figure out how much you want to spend and take that amount of cash into the club.
Use cash and only take what you can afford to spend. When it's gone, leave.
art: Not hypocritical at all. You wouldn't have fired him for going to the strip club, you would have fired him for using company resources and potentially making the company liable for the expenses he incurred there. Completely different things.
