Anybody got any experience of booking backpage girls? Are most of them scams/fakes etc? I've been looking at the Vegas listings just in case I don't get lucky in the clubs for once.
You could check them out on "The Erotic Review". Also, if you hang out around some of the casino bars, you will probably notice some working girls. They are discreet but noticeable. Especially in the later evening.
i read the ads every once in awhile and have considered contacting some of the girls but haven't done it yet.
one thing i do know is that sometimes a pissed customer posts a warning of a scammer, ripoff, thief, etc.
i also do know that some of them post pics of professional models and try to pass them off as their own pics.
my guess is that there could be alot of trial and error involved even if you do your homework first and that you could hit a home run or strike out. kinda like russian roulette.
I have no experience with backpage girls. I did use craigslist once in Toronto after a night of too much booze and a ROB in a downtown club. The advertised goods did not show up at my hotel - just some troglodyte from Toronto's sewers. So my advice is: BE CAREFUL and DON'T BE SURPRISED IF WHAT SHOWS UP AT YOUR DOOR DOES NOT EXACTLY MATCH THE PICTURE IN THE AD.
I've responded to a few backpage ads, and all I've ever gotten were auto-generated emails wanting me to join some "safe dating" site, where they only needed my credit card for age verification. No thanks.
That said, I never did any research on TER or anything, so it's entirely possible that there are plenty of legitimate (if one can use that word with regard to an illegal activity) out there and that I just happened to hit the negative jackpot. It would seem to be an option for travelers if you can find a legit one.
Why use the backpages when there are plenty of girls working the casino bars? Observe what is going on around the bar for fifteen minutes and spotting the working girls isn't too tough.
Art, I think I passed a gal in the hall of my hotel in Detroit who fit the bill. Dressed up like she's ready for night at a dance club, she was walking down the hall looking for a room number. I wonder how often it occurs?
Saturday night I met a dancer who said she was staying two hotels north of mine at the airport. She offered to "come over after her boyfriend fell asleep." I declined.
Good luck to you in Vegas!
I agree with txtittyfan that TER (the erotic review) is a good review site for escorts. If she has no reviews, then I would avoid her because you never know if she is with law enforcement making a bust. TER costs money to join (or you can submit reviews for VIP credit) for VIP/premium but you can read the free parts of the reviews to tell if she "delivers as promised"
I once saw a stripper uses craigslist to promote her escorting. I heard from another dancer that she was fired because the club found out about it.
I would start looking at the ads now, before your trip, and every few days until you arrive. The girls who are posting consistently are probably for real and not scammers. The girls who are posting TOO consistently probably have trouble keeping clients around, but there are definitely well-reviewed girls who still post regularly on backpage just to keep their business development on track.
Nice responses, thanks. I know about TER, as you say it can be used as a guide. I actually called two girls yesterday morning (UK time), of course they both said the photos were accurate but I back off when one said it would be $150 to get ther there and then an added fee for the 'fun'. No way. I had the same thing replying to craigslist ads GMD.
The 'problem' with finding them in the casino bars is that I guess they are usually working when I am usually in a club. Wh
I tried BP once, and no one ever showed at the hotel. Because of the possibilities of problems, I waited near the elevator to see if any single female came in and headed upstairs. None did.
As mentioned, TER is a good place to check an escort. If she doesn't have reviews, I wouldn't chance it. Also, if the escort has a web site, that would be a good sign that the girl is legit and not LE. Escorts with web sites tend to want references in order to see you. If you don't have references, I would stick to trying to do OTC from the club.
Maybe I'm chicken, but when I'm paying for a girl, I want to know that she'll deliver, and she's not LE. Use TheEroticReview or on of the other escort boards. TNABoard covers Las Vegas. Many cities have local boards as well.
You're looking for a girl with multiple reviews. Then check out the reviewers; make sure that several of them have reviewed multiple girls over a period of a couple of years. That protects you from a girl getting her pimp or sergeant to write a couple of fake reviews. This may not be a perfect system, but ROBs and LE can stay busy with people taking zero precautions, so you are probably pretty safe.

Oh, and she rocked my world.
That said, to your question "Are most of them scams/fakes etc?", I'd say "probably". I'm probably just a lucky bastard.
