Coroner rules death brought on by woman's state of arousal
CIRENCESTER, Gloucestershire, UK – While many vibrators carry a warning label stating they are for novelty use only, none carry a warning that they can lead to death. That seems a little unfortunate for a 30-year-old nanny, who reportedly died last October from using a sex toy while watching pornography.
Nicola Paginton was pronounced dead after authorities found her in bed, naked from the waist down and with a sex toy and computer playing pornography both nearby, the Daily Mail reported. The official cause of death was listed as sudden cardiac arrhythmia, most likely caused by an increased state of arousal, the news source said.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Webb told the news outlet police had been called by her employer, Sarah Griffiths, who went to Paginton's home when she didn't come to work, and got a neighbor to help break into the home when they saw the nanny lying on her bed with her cat on her chest.
“After they broke in they realized Miss Paginton was dead,†he told reporters. “She had a computer on her lap and when they moved it and lifted the duvet, they found she was naked from the waist down and there was a vibrator in the bed. The laptop was still displaying pornographic material.â€
A coroner's inquest was ordered, and results were released this week, with officials finding that Paginton died from natural causes quite possibly caused by her activity prior to death.
Questions regarding what sort of sex toy she was using and what precisely Paginton was watching might also be relevant, if not of extreme interest to those looking to avoid the young lady's fate.
