That One Thing

There is a lot of experience that posts on this board. It doesn't always line up in the opinion department, but that's what happens when you throw experts together. Just for giggles, let's say there's exactly one thing each of you could share with someone about the hobby.

Not looking for trade secrets, just the most important thing you're willing to share with a stranger. Anything?

    Keep your wits about you.

Sounds easy and/or like common sense, but everyone who has done this for a while knows better. No matter how cool, smart or in control you think you are, if you do this often enough you will eventually run across a girl who just has your number. There are some girls out there who are masters at this game and know how to read and work their marks.

There is a hook for every fish, including girls that make you feel alive, uber hot girls, charismatic enchanting vixens, young girls with sad tales designed to engross those inflicted with White Knight Syndrome, and all other types and varieties.

As hard as it can be once you get hooked, always keep in mind what she is in this for (your $$$) and always remember that YOU are in control, not her. These things can build quickly into something fast and furious. Whether you are banging her, getting dances ITC or just tipping her for time, the train ride will eventually come to an end. The only question is how much fare (money, time, energy, emotion, etc.) you will pay on the way to the station.

Never bring big bills to a club, have a condom with you at all times, there is no such thing ss a free drink, and there's more to life than going to these strip clubs.

Boon: I gotta work on my game.
Otter: No, no, no, don't think of it as work. The whole point is just to enjoy yourself.

My "one thing", and some, but not most guys, already know these are:

    a) nearly all strippers will fuck you OTC for money,
    b) the better looking they are, for whatever reason, the more likely they are to do OTC for cash
    c) there is no contest to win to reach the OTC for cash point. They either do it or they don't. Doesn't matter who you are or what you do. A corollary to this is that if you want OTC ask early on. Do not fall into the myth that there is some kind of "chase"/build of trust/whatever involved.
    d) Finally realize that 99.44%, yes 99.44%, of strippers are crazy and not dating material anyway, so all you should want to do is fuck the best looking ones.

Keep these simple rules in mind, and you will maximize your strip club fun, and avoid falling into any sort of trouble.

That all dancers, to one degree or another, are players. They have a psychological need to feel like successful players, that is as or sometimes more important than their desire for money. So you have to be wary of them but not be too obvious about it. Don't laugh in their faces or otherwise make it too obvious you're onto them when they try to sucker you. That will give them a shitty attitude towards you, even if it costs them money, because you burst their fantasy that they're good players.

One thing, difficult, but I'd say try to stay at least somewhat sober so you will know what you are doing. This allows you to think with the proper head.

If I had only one thing to share with anyone about the hobby, it's something which could apply to many different pursuits. It just seems particularly apt for strip clubbing given the obvious allure of the services it provides.

Never put more into the hobby than you are willing to do without.

Who have you made commitments to? What do you value? Where do you go to get your strip club fix? When do you go? Why do you really go? How much time and money will you risk? You may want to ask these questions before you get too far into things.

Bottom line: Are you wired to derive sufficient value from the exchange?

PS - Questions were not a complete set. Each person should know for themselves what types of questions they should run through their minds.

Unless you want to kiss your money goodbye, tell your stripper friends to 'kiss your ass' when they ask to borrow money (for any reason...they all sound good at first).

Never take strippers, strip clubs or any thing said on TUSCL too seriously. As FOUNDER says "have fun. be real".

Remember what you're there for. Whether it's just watching naked, or nearly so, women, or something more, keep your perspective.

Lots of good advice on here.

Doug that was damn funny. If a) and b) are the norm in your area then I need to think about moving because that hasn't been my experience - LOL. c) I partly agree with but I've been to clubs where the girls that do OTC are VERY discreeet, which takes time, but I agree that as soon as you hear "I need to get to know you better", you can replace that mentally with "not a chance in hell." d) 100% of them IMO :)

Know how much $$$ you are willing to spend before you enter the club. Quit when that amount is gone. No exceptions.

The disclaimer might help Founder if the fan gets smelly, but wouldn't count on it helping the posters that much. But, yeah, if there are rookies that only get their information from TUSCL then for the site that's a pretty good pointer.

Don't drink with a stripper. When she asks for drinks try and get water for yourself at least every other round. She has a quota to meet and you have financial and alcohol limits.

Take anything a dancer says with a grain of salt.
