So i was reading porn star Mary Carey's wikipedia page and it said she was arrested at a strip club in 2005 for breaking an ordinance that forbids dancers from (sexually) touching themselves.
So are all strip clubs like this in the USA where strippers can't sexually touch themselves?
And does anyone have a link to an ordinance law that makes it illegal for dancers to sexually touch themselves?
Clubs here get raided every few years, usually when the Sheriff is up for re-election. The common charges are prostitution and "exposure of sexual organs". The first one is rarely because there was actual sexual contact, just friction lapdances. Weird. Second charge is surprising because all clubs in this county are full nude and advertise such.
So I would assume that if merely exposing the punani is illegal, then manipulating it would be double extra super illegal.
Every city and state are different. Some places are very liberal and others look for any excuse to clamp down on clubs and dancers. So find out what the culture climate is where you intend to visit. Reading these discussion posts and reviews is a good way to do that.
agree with gk, you can run into all manner of regulations for clubs depending on where the place is and what the folks there are like. case in point: the nearest "big" city to me allows clubs in downtown and most other "non-residential" areas, but the dancers are only allowed to strip to bikinis. two counties south, there's a club, literally in the middle of nowhere where the local laws let the women get down to G-strings on stage, and completely nude (plus a fair amount of hands-on contact) in "private fantasy" dances. the club in the country is in a county that's about as hard-core conservative as you can go, so figure that one out.

No, all strip clubs in the USA are not like this. So as not to repeat anything that was stated above, I'll just say that it's kind of rare to see charges for strippers "sexually touching themselves" IMHO. I can remember of a few infamous cases of this from down in FL that were cited on thesmokinggun.com in the past.
Recently in Columbus, OH, an undercover female officer cited a club in the city for the 3rd time for disobeying SB16 regulations, coverage of the nipple after mid-night. The city has not put one of the three cases to bed and even though the things they are being charged with, every club in the city is doing the same thing, with the same tapes to cover the nipples, because a Federal judge said they can. Why would the city not wait for a decsion on the first charges to find the legality, before the continue racking up citations on NIPPLE COVERAGE?
