Recent Family Guy episode featured strip club visit/scene

Well going along with what has been said on here before that lap dances and strip clubs are going mainstream. A recent family guy episode had a strip club scene that caused peter's father in law to have a heart attack during a lap dance and peter took control of the business.

If you watch the full episode you'll see them poke fun at some strip club stereotypes and customers. Like the female who goes along with her male office coworkers to try to win their respect, foreign guys, etc.

I find a lot of that disgusting the ways mainstream try to portray the SC scene. Its like a lot of nuns gigling about sex.

I was watching that because the station I wanted to watch did a "power down" (it's happened a lot this month).

The upside of SC's going mainstream is that some communities might soon give in and legalize prostitution.

The downside is that a "norm" of look, but don't touch, might happen.

I'm beginning to get bothered by "mainstream" portrals of strip clubs on TV shows like this or in movies. No two clubs are alike and any one-sided depiction is going to create the wrong impression somewhere. The last thing I want to do is be out on on a date watching a movie and have the strip club scene come up and have to deal with all the questions it raises.

Player is right, the stereotyping of the clubs and the customers is not good for our hobby. As for legalizing prostitution, don't hold your breath.
