All are worthy candidates. Right now, given the current economic climate, new laws pertaining to adult entertainment, etc., and the fact the city is major league in sports and in dining, the best place is St. Louis. Granted, you have to go across the river to Washington Park, East St. Louis, Sauget, etc, but the drive is worth it. Clubs are numerous and give high mileage. There is a type of club to suit everyone's taste, and hotels and meals in St. Louis are far less expensive that any of your three suggested destinations.
I have always been happy when I can travel to Tampa or Detroit. Have not had the opportunity to try Houston or St. Louis. I live in Phoenix and it ranks high for value.
I think Phoenix has the best looking dancers and value. They don't offer the extras as do other cities, but if you are looking for upbeat atmosphere and a lot of nice eye candy it can't be beat.
I'm 100% in agreement with BaddJack, concerning the wondrous dens of iniquity concentrated in the East Saint Louis area. However, I am reluctant to call it "Saint Louis" as he does. Saint Louis is in a different state and has a totally different ethos regarding the strip clubs than exists across the Mighty Mississippi river. The fact that there are shopping centers, a casino, motels of different cost levels, WalMart, etc. etc., in this area (east of the Mississippi) makes it a legitimate area in its own right. So I proudly nominate "Eawt Saint Louis Area" (ESLA for short) as the number one strip club location in the USA.
A key component of this is the economic factor. There are high end clubs and low end clubs in the ESLA. The high end clubs are medium-expensive and the low-end clubs can be DIRT CHEAP. Something for every taste. Houston would be my second choice, based on just a few samples, with Tampa in third place. But Tampa has one unique asset that cannot be matched by any other place in the country -- Mons Venus. That's my OPINION (not fact) but I'm stickin' to it.
Arbeeguy: Agreed. I was just making the case that "St. Louis" was a real city. ESLA is not a particular destination spot. It is great for those of us that live close, but I do not go to the ESLA just for the clubs. Instead, they are a GREAT adjunct when business takes me to St. Louis. Still the best value anywhere that I have found since the demise of Kansas City, Kansas in the early 90s.
I've been to both coasts, south and south of the border. Based on accessibility, investment and results,I'd have to nominate St. Clair County, ILL (aka ESL)as well. It's got over two dozen clubs ranging from Larry Flynt and Penthouse, to a a crummy little bar where we slipped into the storage room for $40 FS standing up. Swinger nights at one club, massage parlors, peep shows; there's even a gay club. Several clubs where the mileage approaches zero, but it still costs $15 to get in - I guess these might be considered "family" type clubs. Yep, a little something for everybody! Sort of like Tijuana without the language barrier. (Yeah, that's an exaggeration, but not by much.)
Located at the confluence of several major interstate highways, the area is home to a number of reasonably priced, clean chain motels, and plenty of charge-by-the-hour joints to accommodate the "extended shift" that many of the dancers do. At least 1 Waffle House, and entire blocks that have fallen victim to arsonists over the years.
I hope their Chamber of Commerce appreciates this plug.
Major drawback is finding these places for the newbie. Use Mapquest, etc, have a detailed map of the area and a compass. Easy to get lost because the clubs are spread out over several small towns with a confusing road system. Understand the meaning of "situational awareness".
I'd say ESL as well. But I think they call themselves "Metro East," implying that they're incorporated into the St. Louis area. Which they are, even if they're separated by a mighty river. Besides, wouldn't you want to be part of a big city if you can?
That's difficult. Define "best". Most beautiful women, or highest mileage?
Tampa has a good reputation for a reason. And it's not just Tampa. If you drive a little bit north to Pasco county, you find full nude, full liquor, hot girls, and high mileage.
Any city that's called best is going to have one aspect that's a drawback, whether it's mileage, dancer looks, price or variety. I have a lot of fun when I go to East St. Louis, but there aren't enough good looking girls, even in the Sauget clubs, for it to be called the best. IMO, ESL doesn't have any great clubs, just a lot of fair-to-good clubs that are close enough that you can find a great experience someplace on any given day.
Pasco county FL has girls that are 90% as hot as you'll find at Mons Venus but with higher mileage and liquor. Plus, there's a glut of jack shacks along US19.
I'll nominate Detroit. Great looking women, fun times and extras when you need them. Although outside the country, I'll also give an honorable mention to Niagara Falls, CA.
Tampa has a good rep on this forum but I have never visited any club there. However, from Tuscl postings I have perceived a change in the SC club culture in Tampa that seems to have lowered expecations a little. I wonder if anyone else thinks the same. Is Tampa what it used to be?
