King of Diamonds has a friendly and fun vibe. They serve alcohol, but I did not encounter any idiotic customer behavior during my visit. There were at least 25 customers present at the time, and the dancer to customer ratio was quite good at 1:2. There was a shift change around 9:00, and shortly after that, all of the dancers got on stage. I really appreciate it when clubs do this, as it makes it easy to take an inventory of the talent for the evening. The dancers ranged from some sixes to a few nines - better than average looks for a club in the Midwest in my experience.

Although better than the clubs in Wisconsin, I have often found Minnesota clubs to be rather lacking when it comes to my primary interest - lap dances. Air dances are common. If there is any contact, it is always one-way only. The dances at King of Diamonds, however, were much better than expected. First of all, you can try out a girl for just $10 per dance out on the main floor. No privacy, of course, but you can get a good feel for their technique and level of enthusiasm for a good price.

If you decide you want to invest in a particular dancer, a more private lap dance room exists. The pricing and layout are not ideal. You have to pay for three dances at a time for the hefty sum of $82, if I recall correctly, and you must pre-pay. If you want another set of dances, you need to again pay up front, making the dancer go back up to the front desk with your payment. There are several couches along two walls of the room. They are adjacent to each other with only a curtain partially separating them. So not a lot of privacy, but at least there was no bouncer presence that I noticed. There was a woman at the front desk, but she never intruded in any way.
