Stop #4: The Great Soda Shakedown of Minneapolis

Came through on a Thursday night. $20 cover. They scanned my ID then immediately hit me with “You gotta buy a $15 NA beverage.” Choices: water, energy drink, or soda. No alcohol, no juice, not even a ginger ale with a lime to make me feel like I’m pretending to party. Just straight up “$15 Coke please.”

So in reality it’s a $35 cover fee to sip a Sprite like a middle schooler on probation.

The club is upstairs from a bar which is actually kind of cool. You can get your alcohol there. Dances here are $20 on the floor, 3 for $100, or $300 for 30 minutes. I didn’t even bother asking about an hour. I assume they’d just quote me “your soul” and my firstborn child.
