The 22nd avenue station is a very peculiar club. It seems to be at the perfect intersection of a bar and a strip club. I showed up with a female friend of mine, found the parking in the back and headed in not knowing what to expect. After being carded at the entrance, we were in what looked to be a regular small town dive bar. As we approached the bar to make our order, we saw to the left the small area and stage. The stage had two poles and was probably about twelve feet by fifteen feet. The stage was about 4 feet off of the ground, and it was surrounded by about fifteen chairs. Around the chairs, there were also tables that gave the impression of a diner.

We grabbed our beverages and sat down at one of the tables in the outer ring of the smaller room. On stage was a black girl who was moderately attractive, dancing slowly for a single patron sitting at the tables. We continued to chat and have a completely unrelated discussion. As the evening proceeded, each girl would "dance" (although the dancing was minimal and it was really just slow, almost bored, gyration mostly for the benefit of themselves, or the other dancers). The girl would dance for 2 or three songs, and then swap out for another girl.

I think there were only three dancers there that evening, and when they weren't on stage, they were pretty much just sitting in one of the chairs next to the stage waiting for their turn. This definitely did not seem to be the lap dance kind of club, although I felt like the girls must be making their money by offering services unseen to the other patrons.
