Depressing is actually the right word, if I could only use one word to describe this place. I reviewed this place a few months ago and it is the bottom of the barrel. The short Asian bartender who doesn't dance is way hotter than all the girls by a longshot. They allow 400 pound women to dance. Don't believe me, see for yourself.

Money vs stress is all the matters. Some girls are a 9 or 10 and don't make money, because they don't know how to sell. "Wanna dance" works for some girls but if they don't have the right attitude guys will still say no. At my club there are two girls who are basically 10s and one gets $100 plus thrown at her every stage, the other got nothing except what I threw. The first one get so many dances I don't even see her when she works except to ask for her right after stage. The other is sitting at the bar, working up the courage to approach guys for an hour and 'waiting for a regular' to maybe show up that night.
She's new and I'm sure in 6 months she'll either figure it out or quit. I've seen lots of these girls quit. Point is it works at the retirement end too. All that matters is the money a girl can pull in.

You must be lucky because the girls were 4-7 when I went. I saw 15 of them this month, many more last time. You say the lap dances didn't have much mileage but gave all 8s on your ratings, I guess as you say a bad club in LA is still good. I'm from SD so I get it but still, I'd encourage you to try more clubs when you're in town LA has a lot of options.
In my lap dance the girl Kaylani literally said no touching without a tip. I gave up on Synn after that and most reviewers had this same experience of bad service and upsell.

I'd like to know the dancer too because the women I saw were 4-7 at best. A previous reviewer called it fuglytown. And there is in fact a 300 pound woman who will dance on stage, literally the first stage I ever saw there.

Don't connect extras or illegal activity in detail with names. Common sense. Should be a hard rule. Naming dancers is nothing. My club is 100% PG no extras, the dancers themselves are public about their IG and OF. It depends on the club too, since it's no extras the girls aren't ashamed and are quite public. They will go out to sporting events and hand out VIP cards for entry.
Whereas at extras heavy clubs lots of girls won't even show their face on roll call. Complete opposite culture once your pussy is for sale for all comers!

I can see peoples' review count. Good to hear about desertscrub, he was a literal shill for two clubs but spent all day calling others shills. 15,000 times.
Verification is where you send a photo under dashboard -> manage account. All this does is prove you're human and not a bot.
One thing I liked that they temporarily did was in your bookmarks of clubs, they put the date of the latest review. So every day I knew right away if there was a new review, rather than checking manually (or now by remembering the text preview of the latest review).
- Overpriced and bad service
Square to your point I've noticed the change too, but I did find two I liked at Spearmint Rhino. Brasil at night shift is great, good attitude and reasonable. Newer dancer. Some of the established dancers at SR like Pink are still good. But all the clubs seem to cycle through a lot of new dancers, so you never know it's hit and miss.
I'm from SD so haven't had much time to find good alternatives in LA. Still looking.
I'll do an updated review of SR some time in the future. I was just surprised at the Synn/Paradise system. They have a lot of sister clubs listed on their site I will be avoiding. I think the desperation you speak of translates into excessive hustle and "bad service without tip" culture more than anything. It makes me almost want to go TJ and deal with the immigration and risks there. Thanks for you comment.
- Overrated and Rip-Off Dance
Yeah thanks for confirming, lots of us have the same experience with up-charging and them demanding tips for what are standard at normal strip clubs. This happened a lot at Synn too. I just don't see the point. You could go to Spearmint Rhino 5 minutes down the street and get a much better dance for less. I rarely get asked for tips and I usually tip anyways because the service is consistently good.
Of course, the purpose of Platinum is clear. It's to hustle for tips and we know what that means. I even had a good experience at Platinum but the constant hustle for tips interrupted the experience repeatedly and killed the vibe. I don't think it's the girl's fault, she has no good way to make money unless she does this. The house takes the first $180 that she makes plus half of vips after that, which is crazy. You end up with an extras club with that oh wait..

I've heard often that the owner also owns the bar next door, so win win if this fills the club and brings in new customers. Things are slow for clubs almost everywhere coast to coast so Cheetah's is out advertising to draw in people.
I just came back from COI and while it is amazing in some ways, you get sick of it and miss the comfort of Cheetah's. The girls talk with you here and are generally nice, never had a bad experience. Mad to your comment it's because they aren't dancers. I'm serious. I had a similar experience to Prime where as soon as I made it clear I just wanted a dance and no extras the girl wouldn't even let me touch her during the dance. She said it would be a tip to touch her. It was Kaylani, and in fact on the other forum another user (not me) had 100% the same experience with Kaylani.
So you have 3 testimonies of girls literally getting up and walking off or not allowing contact during dances. When you can literally walk 5 minutes or drive 1 minute to Spearmint Rhino where it is full nude contact, usually some deal like $100 for 10.
These girls are not strippers. You know what they are there for.
I'll be writing my full review in a week or two. Just posted my review of Paradise down the street. Same franchise and it's no surprise why the girls won't even do dances. Until they make the $140 quota, they are dancing on you for free unless you tip. It's a bad system versus the traditional system where the girl pays the club regardless and is then motivated to actually do as many dances as possible.
I had another girl I said let's go vip and she stopped me to make sure I wanted extras, and I said sorry I'm just here to try out the club but I will tip you. She thanked me and walked off.
I get it, but wow. I refused to say how much I would tip her ahead of time - after all I just got almost an air dance from Keylani. But I usually tip $100 or $200 to girls I like who do well in vip and she was exactly my type. I do respect her policy though because if she is an extras only girl, she might not be comfortable giving a regular dance to me where I'm potentially tipping only $100. I won't say this other girl's name because she was respectful and professional about it. I still like her, it just blows my mind that Paradise and Synn the girls charge twice what Spearmint charges, but give you half as much.

Yes Slickwillie is right, it can be very confusing since other clubs have different names for things. Here is the exact breakdown: $20 for "non-VIP" dances which are officially no touch and many girls won't even do them. $100 for "VIP" 5 dances, most girls will let you touch all over. Officially clothed but that depends on the girl. $400 is for the ice box, a semi private room with beads covering the entrance.
A song is 2.5 minutes, so it's $100 for 12.5 minutes. It's the best you'll get in SD, if you want nude try LA. The one good thing is there are more beautiful girls and it's pretty chill. II just went to LA and while there's more fun there's also a lot of hustle and bs there. I'm actually posting 3 club reviews about them.

One thing I've notice at some COI clubs is a few girls will use another girl's name to work, often on a trial basis so management doesn't have to do the added paperwork. If they get fully hired, then they get added.
A lot of girls work one day and never come back.

I'll be reviewing this club shortly and this is pretty accurate. The hottest girl was actually the Asian bartender. I even asked her to make sure she doesn't do dances (at my home club Cheetah's SD the bartenders can give dances), but no luck.
I will say all the working girls in TJ are made up the same way, and much of the clientele might be familiar with or expecting the heavy make up look. I find when a girl works an extras heavy club she often transforms this way, like a disguise. When she changes clubs to one like Spearmint Rhino down the street, she suddenly dresses and makes up like a classy girl. I met a girl at SR who used to work at Paradise and she's been constantly buying new shoes, dress, and doing her hair differently to work at SR. I literally did not believe her old IG photos were her except the tattoos don't lie.
In the dark room it doesn't matter as much and I guess nobody would ever recognize her face outside the club.

Wow, at Cheetahs since covid there is not one girl who doesn't allow touching in the $100 for 5 VIP (individual $20 are no touch). Good to know, might have to do with it being an alcohol club.

Thanks for checking it out for us. Went last year but 6-7 is about right There were better girls 3 minutes down the street. This is an extras heavy club so maybe that goes with the territory, and I don't expect great stage but yeah at least put some effort into it.
- A lazy, but ultimately satisfying, Sunday night
Thursday is the busiest time if that’s what you want. You get double time in the vip rooms than normal. So a ton of girls show up. Today right now there are 22 girls in the club roll call. It actually gets busier after 10pm peaking maybe midnight.
Because there are so many girls the best way ti see them is when they announce the 2 for 4 special, and all the girls not in vip will do the walk around for you to see. There are often also crowds throwing plenty of stage money last time I went on Thursday.
To give you a comparison some Monday nights there are 3 girls. Even though the booth vips are cheaper, its the room vips on Thursday that draw both the girls and crowds. I did enjoy Monday more in that I could just talk with a girl I liked and take her to a second VIP later. But it was all luck that I liked 2 of the 3 girls working. It could easily have been 0 of 3.

For those wondering, the ice box is one of four semi-private booths you can have for 30 minutes for $400. Each one is a little different but for all of them you can see the stage, and people walking by can see in through the beads but it is for the most part private. Each girl has her own policy of what she does, but this club is not extras heavy so I wouldn't expect it. I will say you get a lot of space.
Also last time I timed the songs they were 2.5 minutes each, so with $100 for 5 dances you get 12.5 minutes in the back. If it's busy, you will be sitting across another customer getting a dance. It doesn't bother me any more but that's how it's like here. Whereas the ice box you get more privacy and space. But you are paying $400 for 30 minutes which is a lot more. For those not great at math, $400 would have gotten you 20 dances or 50 minutes. So it really depends on the girl, your idea of a good time, and your budget. It is a luxury.
In my experience in the ice box the girl will set a 30 minute timer rather than go by song. But I enjoyed it every time because I picked the right girl, and the extra space and privacy was great.
Again, I would not expect extras in fact to the extent you would get them you would have better luck with regular dances. Cameras monitor most dance areas. Things are not super strict but the club has to keep a balance due to SD laws and enforcement. On the other hand, because this is not an extras heavy club, it has a lot more beautiful women, and it's a lot more casual with more girls willing to spend time talking with you. Which is what I'm looking for.
Despite having access to COI clubs, I spend most of my time here and then occasionally go COI when I need something extra.

If you’re limited to San Diego county it’s the only good club. The girls are nice, never had a bad experience. Of course south of the border anything can be had if you don’t mind crossing immigration or latinas. And north of SD I’d head straight to City of Industry 90 minutes without traffic.
The strong point is most girls are friendly and willing to chat up customers, 5 dances for $100 is the standard. Service varies depending on the girl. A lot of the girls have worked other clubs and came here, rather than the other way around (within SD). But apart from hands on bikini dances if you want more you’ll have to look at the other two alternatives.

Great review. Just for comparison I had 2 of the same dancers as you last year and the performance was reversed. Hard to say why, could be their mood that night, maybe their first impression of me. But it happens. I've even had the same girl two different nights and gotten different experiences.
I will say I think Cora didn't like me at first, specifically me, like a bunch of people tipped her on stage and she was all smiling at all of them except for me she looked like she just didn't like me. Like I was someone she knew even though this was my first time. But I took her to VIP anyways because she was so hot and by the end she relaxed and it was great. Just started out cold.
Same thing with extras. On the other forum people will say X doesn't do extras when I know for a fact they do, and vice versa. Could be they changed their mind, their mood, or whatever. In conclusion, you have to judge for yourself her vibe and avoid taking a girl if she doesn't feel right to you unless absolutely necessary.

Candy is wild not always there. I remember taking her to 4 for $80 and when I put the money in her hand and took her to VIP, she forgot I had just got dances from her and she stared at the money like she had no idea what it was for. Then she crashed into the wall. It gets crazier but just make sure you are clear on extras. She saw I had more money and tried to raise her price after we already agreed. She must be a nympho though because she was pretty great even in the lap dance.

The ID thing sucks, it's probably a safety thing from something that happened. A number of customers would take off without paying for extras, oh well. I don't like it either but it's the only sure way to enforce a ban.
GPS has been around forever, so has asking for tips after a regular dance. It's not really specific to any location.

To give context for those asking, dances are $20 each but most people go 5 for $100. It's called VIP but it's only semi-private so if it's busy you can see other dancers giving dances to customers and vice versa. But on off times you might be the only one in that area.
Prices haven't gone up in a decade so I think it's a good deal, but it's a San Diego club so not as much standard mileage as you would get going to COI up north or TJ down south, but they're both a long drive from SD. Dances are about 2.5 minutes each when I timed it.

Good advice from the others, just want to add that while I tip 90% of the time tips are your way to give back and thank the dancer for doing her best for you. You get to decide that, it's silly for dancers to tell you what to think based on how well they think they did - you are the customer and only you get to decide their performance. But some girls will try to hustle, I can't exactly blame them but that's not what a good dancer should do either. They are there to show you a good time not be in your face about money like that. Oh well, move on and good on you for setting limits with multiple dancers.
Some newer girls, they don't know what it means to be a dancer or especially one at COI. So it could really be all her and have nothing to do with you. It's not worth your time to ponder too much, move on and have a good time. More than half the girls who start quit right away when they understand what stripping means in reality.
I did get the transactional vibe from girls, and this club isn't for me, but then again many others like the club. The good news is there are several excellent clubs in the area and you should give at least one of them a try before writing off the area. The Rhino just down the street is my thing, but again others will disagree.

The upside about the 4 for 2 special is they gather all the girls and walk them on stage so you can see. As you mentioned the club is dark so this is one way you can get a good look. I found one of my all time favorites Stormy this way, though sadly it looks like she's moved on to Satin down the street lately. It's complicated.
You probably mean Portia, she's nice and good service and attitude, often in cowboy gear. I did the 4 for 2 with her and you know a girl is good when she gives great service even during a 4 for 2. Some other girls are new or not as good, so yeah it's going to be hit and miss. What I'm saying is it's probably more the girl than just the 4 for 2 but yes it's a factor for some girls. And yes the line to pay during that can be be "odd".
About flagging down girls, yes it can kill the mood but it's also about standing up for yourself and picking the girl you want rather than hoping she comes up to you. It is usually better for girls to approach you because you can feel them out with less pressure and say no if you don't feel the connection. So it goes both ways. The reason girls hang out by the fireplace is it's cold and if you or I were wearing a thong we'd need a fireplace too. Some girls are tired and just lounging around hoping a regular randomly shows up rather than approaching customers. Some have been there a long time, so I've see a few just sleep. Others have their own issues or reasons. Last time I saw girls at the fireplace with a guy it was actually someone who delivers them dinner, lol.
If there is a girl you like their website has an accurate real-time roll call, and a few months back they even added photos. The photos are accurate though not all girls show much, some do. Good to see some girls still there but there's been quite a bit of turnover too from last year. I suppose that's normal though in many clubs.
