I was there Saturday, and there was nothing five-star about it. Most of the A team took the night off. Honestly, that was arguably the lowest talent level I've ever seen at Tootsies.

Playpen doesn't get going until 3 at the earliest. It's more of an after hours spot.

In Pasco (which is actually very different from Tampa: actually, all 3 counties in the area are different), getting dances isn't the way to go. The much better play is to pay for VIP in 15 or 30 minute blocks. That's when the clubs really open up in terms of entertainment value...and options.

I saw a sign Wednesday as I drove by the building; said "Grand Opening: Solid Gold Presents Pure Platinum" or something like that. Website and Twitter account look active. It might be open again.

I was there Saturday as well. Noticed a lot more black dancers than in previous trips, and I was actually looking for one of the three Asians (who I met in September). I did get dances, though: girls whose names started with 'L' tended to treat me nicely. One thing I'll add: the place thins out considerably after 3. From then until 4 is probably prime time for a PL. After 4, some girls start leaving and some mail it in.
One funny thing: the girls I talked to either didn't know about the fight or don't like fight nights in general.

Dances are how much? Either the prices have skyrocketed (they were $20 when I went in January) or someone tried to hustle you.

Nice to see a positive review about Passions. When there's a decent crowd and the hustle is low, that place can be great.

I think one of the Follies vets said once that the quarter portions of the drink prices were to help cover the cost of the buffet (which is pretty good).

I went there a couple times back in 12-13 and it was alright. Now it's just trash. Seems like none of the similar spots are as good as they were back then.
I imagine the champagne room is upstairs, and that there has to be a set of stairs in the back of the club by the DJ booth. Can't think of any other place they would be, since the club is so small.

Yeah, the dancers and customers were mostly black Sunday. It was more balanced in both areas Monday.

I didn't go to any others with $25 dances, but it's on a sign in the LD area. Forgot to mention: cabanas are 150/15, 250/30, and 400/hr.

Totally agree, from what I've seen in my KOD visits pre and post 2012. It's really a dance club with strippers at this point.
