The Best of Times, The Worst of Times
Got to XTC around 2:30 after leaving Bucks last (04/03) night. Free parking, $20 cover. You enter on the right side. It looks really nice on the outside, but on the inside it looks pretty normal. Main stage is at the back center and the three satellites form a diamond with it. Main bar seems to be the one along the front. Music was mostly current hip hop, but it was more nationally known than that which we heard at Onyx Saturday.
While sitting at one of the many tables, I noticed something about myself: the longer I go without getting approached, the less likely I am to even want attention later on. XTC has some great-looking girls, by far the best collection I've seen in Dallas thus far. By. Far. Not even close. The worst-looking girls there were on par with the best of the other three clubs. The roster reminded me of what KOD Miami used to be. That said, their customer service is the worst. Had it been even average, the dancer rating would've been a 9 - and I don't think I give out many 9s there, if any. As it was, girl after girl walked right by us. I know as I'm writing this that sometimes you have to be more assertive, but in the moment it's hard to remember.
I think XTC is classified as mixed, but it's mostly black in terms of patrons and customers. Dances are $20 and you can go upstairs for $20 to get private LDs - like Onyx, you pay the $20 once and it's good all night. My friend asked a guy and he said it was $100. A girl told him the right amount when he got his first string of dances.
