Smokey, Sleazy club
I have been going to this club for a few years when I'm in the area several times a year with the last being in early January. I have witnessed it go down hill on every visit to the point I was not planning to return. I did read recent reviews where there is reportedly a new owner and club updates are coming.
I first found this club, it was by accident driving through Cocoa. The dancers were mixed from 4-9 with a great atmosphere. I found that the $10 dances were a steal. I met several girls and got numbers. I met a few of them after work and had some fun. I looked forward to each visit. I found the day shift to have the newer more innocent girl next door and the night shift got edgier with the typical experienced dancer. Drinks were average. Lap dance area was not at all private, but most girls still gave it there all with full grind and a little hand action. They were all about pleasing the customer. I had nothing but good times, except the door guy/bouncer at night was a real dick and treated you like a POS. But I wasn't there for him anyway.
Then as time went on things began to deteriorate. I noticed the quality of the dancers went way down hill. Mostly AA, hispanic or other ethnicity. About the only decent white girl was the waitress that also danced, real classy? The management and staff got even more adverse and hounded you for mandatory drinks as soon as you walk in the door. The smoke was so bad you couldn't breath. The club, especially at night, changed to a ghetto, smoke filled, gangsta want to be hang out. I felt very unsafe inside and in the parking lot. The bathroom is nasty. The club is dirty. It has become a bad joke of the strip club community. The music is crap with mostly ghetto rap which fits the atmosphere and the type of dancers working here.
I decided to not frequent this place at night, but the $10 dance price kept me coming back during the day hoping for the one hot new girl. After several attempts, I had just about decided to stop trying when the staff made up my mind for me. I entered the club during the week not long after lunch. It is very dark inside and takes a few minutes for your eyes to adjust. I knew from previous visit the week before it wouldn't be long before the bartender that looks like an old tranny, didn't catch her name, would start pressuring me to buy a drink. I walked through the club looking at the entertainment and as usual lately it was sub par. No dancer over a 5 if that. I noticed a couple strippers giving dances and decided to wait on them to finish so I could check them out. Right on cue, here was the bartender asking me for my order. I told her I wasn't ready to order yet and she reminded me that I had to have a drink to stay. It was a 2 drink minimum and strictly enforced. She said she would be back in a few. At this point, I felt like I was being bullied. I hadn't been there 5 minutes and my eyes hadn't even adjusted to where I could judge if I wanted to stay. As usual, lots of old dirty men sitting at the bar nursing their beer and talking to the ugly dancers. I stood my ground and waited for the dancers to finish. The bartender came back and demanded I buy a drink or leave. I asked her where it said that and she said it was club policy and that we were on camera and that she would get fired if I either bought a drink or left. Which brings up, there are cameras everywhere here so if you don't want to be recorded I would think twice. I told her that once I decided to stay or not which I already knew I wasn't especially after being treated that way I wasn't staying, I would leave or order a drink. I just needed a few more minutes. At that point, she raised her voice and became very aggressive. She kept telling me I had to leave. I was a taken aback. I am the customer who supports this establishment and felt I shouldn't be rushed or treated this way. I wondered if they were hurting so bad for money they had to force you to buy drinks? She told me I could not take anymore time to decide if I was staying and that she would have me thrown out. During the day, the only bouncer is the DJ or maybe a manager? She threatened me with being thrown out and I asked for the manager. She then looked up at the camera and began making hand gestures. I was wondering if this was like big brother? lol I, again asked for a manager, and she stormed off to the DJ booth. I waited a couple of minutes and no one came to escort me out or talk to me. I decided that at this point there was nothing to gain or reason to take a stand to make my point. I started towards the door and I heard the bartenders voice screaming at me. She was making a big scene. I am not sure what she was saying, but I didn't really care. I ignored her and kept walking to the door. I left without further incident.
This was probably the worst strip club experience I have ever had. I have been a going for 30 years. I would not recommend this club. Maybe the new owners, if that is true will make a change for the better. In this small town, there are way better choices. Cheaters is your average club, girls are average cost is average. Lido Cabaret is one of the better clubs anywhere not just in Cocoa. The girls are always hot and friendly. Great atmosphere. Its the opposite of Inner room.
