Porthole has lost its one advantageThe 4am-closing-time stopped b/f Covid - even prior to that I think it only applied to Saturday nights (maybe Fridays also can't remember) - AFAIK it's always been a city-of-Pompano-ordinance that places that serve-alcohol have to close at 2am – AFAIK Porthole had at some point gotten some kinda exception to close later on Saturdays but that seems to have been taken away some time prior to Covid. AFAIK Pompano is about-the-only SoFlo-city that has a 2am-closing-time for alcohol-places which doesn't make sense for the area since SoFlo is a party-area (there are clubs in other SoFlo-areas that close at late as 6am and some even 8am).
This club has always been hit-or-miss if not more miss-than-hit and sorta a niche-club that wasn’t necessarily for most SCers – even then it seemed to get a bit-worse after the club lost the late-closing-time-exception – and seemed to also not be as good post-Covid-lockdowns although I haven’t been there since the the Fall of 2021 – nighttime; particularly on weekends; is not a good spot at this club for true-enthusiasts – the club is on the small-side and on weekend-eves it gets packed like if-it-was a college-bar; and seems like 90% of the clientele is there to just hang and not get dances (from what I’ve seen). If going on a weekend night probably best to get there around 8 or 9pm b/f the “hangout crowd” gets there.
When I was clubbing I used to hit this club in the late-afternoons; but the last time I was there late-2021 the talent was not that good even for this club. IMO/IME the club has been trending downwards over the last 3+ years.

Worth a stopTUSCL M.O. is to avoid connecting dancers to extras (saying she had natural DDs likely makes it pretty-easy to know who it is) - for various-reasons most dancers don't want their (extras) biz being described on a public forum.

Left feeling like a king (wallet disagrees)Yeah; hope money isn't an object for you b/c you paid-up-the-a$$ for what you got - no-doubt this is an upscale club so "some sort of premium" is in order; but still what you paid is the equivalent of paying $300,000 for a $100,000 Mercedes; sure, you still got a Mercedes which is a nice-upscale-car; but it's a $100K car nevertheless so no-use paying $300K for it just to say "yeah but I got a Mercedes". In many clubs one can get “the whole shebang” for about $300 (in some clubs even less).

Back to try Synn again after almost 3 years. My thought on this club on a ecember“… I did have nice pleasant conversations with other girls that I turned down, just not my type. …”
Dancers are not there to have pleasant-conversations and not make any $$$ at the end – dancers are there to make $$$ and many don’t like investing-time in a custy for the custy to tell them at the end he’s not interested – in most clubs, dancers gotta pay the club to work there (house-fee; etc) so they are usually in-the-red going-in and can’t afford to be having “pleasant conversations” and not make any $$$ - 99% of the time they are engaging you in conversation is b/c they are trying to make-$$$/close-the-sale – if a custy is not interested in a spending $$$ on a dancer, probably best to let her know that upfront or early-in-the-conversation so she doesn’t invest/waste her time and/or possibly be losing-out on other custies that are interested in spending.

Diverse and friendly girls but beware of VIPThis is the OP's first and only review - I assume he finally decided to write a review almost 3-years after-the-fact so he could get the TUSCL VIP (perhaps he's planning on some clubbing for the holidays and needed some club TUSCL info) - could also be the the review is totally made-up (perhaps copied from Google or something).

sinclair's ReviewIf some songs run very-long, I can understand the dancer wanting to charge by time instead - but she needs to let the custy know that ahead of time b/f she starts vs springing-it on him at the end.
Some clubs *do* care about dancers overcharging customers so sometimes it’s worth it to mention it to management, but it’s a crapshoot at best and may not be worth going thru the trouble.

Ricks now owns Baby DollsThe article states the transaction was 5-clubs (2 Baby Dolls and 3 Chicas Locas, in the Dallas/Ft-Worth and Houston markets) - besides Dallas there was also a small dive in Ft Worth also called Baby Dolls (I was never sure if Baby Dolls Dallas also owned the small-one in Ft Worth or if that clubs was just leasing the name since the two clubs were so different) – could be whomever owns Baby Dolls Dallas also owns the other 4 clubs in the transaction and they are just cashing-out.
I visited Baby Dolls Dallas for the first-time in 2000 and it was already a well-established-club – I wonder how long it goes back – perhaps the owner(s) are getting old and wanna sell/cash-out; or perhaps the original owner(s) have passed and the inheritors don’t wanna own the club anymore?

Celebrity True of FalseIt's possible Mottola was her first and Jeter her second - she doesn't come across to me as a freak - some girls are just not that horny and/or interested in sex - per Wikipedia she met Mottola when she was 19 at an industry-party but Google says they started dating when she was 22.

TeethFor me it's pretty-much about the body - it's rare I don't wanna get w/ a dancer who's bod I like b/c of the face/teeth/etc - although I do recall 2 different dancers over-the-years that had really bad teeth (both white American girls) - one wasn't my type regardless of her teeth; the other was my type (curvy slim-thick) and the teeth *were* a bit off-putting but I don't recall if affecting my dance much (this was 5+ years ago) although the teeth-thing was a bit-distracting - I guess the fact I'm not the type to sit and chat/hang w/ dancers too-much is why it may not be a bigger-deal for me personally.

Ricks now owns Baby DollsThe current Chicas Locas used to be Cabaret Royale - AFAIK Cabaret Royale was owned by Baby Dolls (and I believe the current Chicas Locas as well) - Cabaret Royale was a nice upscale and popular club in the 2000s when I lived/SCed in Big-D - for w/e reason seems they let CR go by the wayside - perhaps ownership decided to focus on Baby Dolls after they moved to their current-location in late-2006.

Night 1 at Baby DollsDon't listen to dha, he likes to shit on reviews for no good reason.
There are a total of 7 stages and AFAIK girls only do one song per stage but have to do all 7 in the rotation at once so it can take close to a half-hour for a girl to do the entire stage-rotation.
The Cuban-dancer invasion started circa-2015 and most clubs the Cubanas invade the non-Cuban-dancers seem to leave.

Beware -- money sucking vampires. In some clubs it can be hard to keep track of the songs - I often use my cellphone-stopwatch to keep track of songs - I'll time a few songs when not getting dances to get a feel for how long they're being played - if the songs are being played for example at 3-minutes-long; then when I get dances I'll kick-off the stopwatch and if for example I get dances for 10-minutes-or-so then I'm more sure I did 3-songs vs wondering how many I did.

Beware -- money sucking vampires.No-alcohol/BYOB places will usually have a higher cover - pre-Covid $20 covers were common - post-Covid many places have raised covers (probably due to lost business during Covid lockdowns and current inflation) - BYOB places also tend to charge a higher-cover later in the might.
w.r.t. the 1st Cuban dancer - likely her English was bad and didn't understand you - you should have kept it simple and just said "no thanks" (she probably would have understood that).
Dance-costs vary all over the country, some places as high as $50/dance - BYOB places offer nude-dances which are often more expensive but sometimes also offer cheaper non-nude topless-dances.

Why are there so many Cuban dancers everywhereI’m a Cuban-guy from Miami but I've been in the U.S. since I was 9 and don’t really have too-much interaction w/ the recent-arrival-community so IDK exactly what the deal is and why the explosion of Cuban-dancers.
I grew in Miami and currently live-here; but I lived ~10-yrs in Dallas from 2000 - ~2010 – it was in Dallas where I picked-up the SC-hobby/habit and in all-my-time there I don’t recall ever meeting a Cuban-dancer (I can often spot them just by looking at them and their mannerisms; and def if I hear them speaking the unique Cuban (kinda ghetto) Spanish) – not only did I not meet any Cuban dancer in my time in Dallas in the 2000s; but I hardly ran into another Cuban person (there wasn’t a Cuban community where Cubans would live; hang; etc) – in my time in Dallas in the 2000s, there wasn’t even a single Cuban restaurant (now per Yelp there are about 10).
The Cuban-dancer-invasion seemed to kinda come out of nowhere – even in Miami back-in-the-day (80s; 90s; 2000s); there was a mix of white-American, and Cuban-dancers that had been born and/or raised here; even in Miami back-in-the-day, the SCs were not as dominated by recent-Cubana-arrivals (back in the day there were also much less fewer Cubans in others parts of SoFlo not Miami (e.g. Ft Lauderdale; West Palm Beach; etc) and thus in other parts of SoFlo whitegirls were often the majority in clubs).
I joined TUSCL in early-2012 and I guess it was sometime around 2015-or-so when I started reading reports of Cuban dancers (plural) in clubs in other states; which took me by surprise.
Seems something happened that triggered this sudden explosion of Cuban-dancers. Although I used to club a lot; Cuban-dancers were not my thing; and I was also not the type to have fave-dancers that I could talk to and find stuff out; thus I never really inquired w/ Cuban-dancers I have gotten dances from in the past as to why there are so many of them now and all over the country.

Resupply From Mexican Border Invasion? From what I’ve heard; the Mexican economy improved a good-amount in the early-90s post-NAFTA thus cutting down on Mexican-immigration – from what I’ve heard, a lot of the current-immigration is not from Mexico but from all over Latin-America and even all-over-the-world – e.g. for the last decade or two, Cuba’s and Venezuela’s economies' have been much worse than Mexico’s those a lot more immigration from those two countries – the thing is that most people trying to get into the U.S. illegally have to do so thru Mexico (obviously b/c Mexico is a on our border thus serves as a land-bridge).

It’s like Disney world but for adults. To each their own; but getting just a single-measly $10 dance is kinda wasting a dancer’s time – if the dance is terrible then I can see cutting-it-off at one; but o/w IMO one should at least get two or just pass – my-2-cents.

Vivide Winter '23 UpdateProbably best to not mention drugs in a review - drugs are often a surer-way for a club to get raided and subsequently f'ing-up the club including mileage (if not getting the club shutdown altogether).
