Left feeling like a king (wallet disagrees)

Visited this club on a weekday in mid December. Street parking was easily available around the corner for free. This place is close to some expensive neighborhoods in LA but the blocks immediately surrounding the club are a little rough, scattered homeless folks. Anyway, once you get inside it’s more upscale than your average club. The main area has a large stage on the right as you enter and a bar in the back left. Two story ceiling height gives 4Play a sense of grandeur. There are lap dance rooms off the main floor and stairs leading up to a balcony level which wraps around behind and above the stage. The VIP areas are upstairs and designed so you can see the stage and the floor from the balcony.

It’s a $20 charge and you’re supposed to get a drink — non alcoholic because this is California. I was there only 30-40 mins after opening, a little before 9, and the place was pretty empty. Maybe 1 other customer and 2-3 girls. I think I saw a blonde and a brunette but they still seemed to be prepping and only partially opened.

I’d barely gotten my drink served before a very attractive woman approached. Let’s call her Mai Ling. She was 5’6”, Chinese (emigrated from China in the past couple of years) about 24, very poised but friendly and beautiful with a magical smile. We chatted for a bit and she explained that VIP dances upstairs were about $200 per 15 mins. The 15 and 30 min dances happened in a private ish area upstairs but for 1 hour/$800 you could get a bed. She said the bed was her favorite and thought that given how slow/early it was we could probably get a bed for “only” 45 mins/$600. Carpe diem. We headed upstairs.
