CC99... The problem is that the shutdown is governmentally mandated. That is the absolute crux of the problem.
If we let communities handle this and provide state or federal support where needed, we would have had a lot more people willing to help.
Why should we treat people in wide open Montana the same way we treat them in NYC?
Let citizens rise to the fight, don't force them to run and hide.

I would have held a national address after the Superbowl, told the USA that there is a nasty virus going around Wuhan, China that has made it's way to America.
I would have cautioned adults to try to social distance.
I would ask the military to be ready to provide field hospitals
And then I would have waited. I would have waited for America to rise to the challenge like she has done so many times before. I would supply all the help our federal government is reasonably equipped for (again, it would mostly be military personnel)
We'd be done with this by summer.

I am not arguing any of these fact, but to hold Trump solely accountable is ridiculous. Had China been more forthcoming with details, perhaps he would have handled it differently.

How do propose we hold one man accountable when we have fifty different governors and hundreds of other world leaders making decisions for their citizens? Twentyfive is correct.
Trump let governors make decisions. He shouldn't have done that. He should have just declared our whole country closed. He should have closed all borders, airports, and ports. He should have ordered every single person living in America to stay home.
Fuck Trump. He created this massive pandemic that has killed nearly .0003% of everyone in the USA.
