Landing Strip recently increased its fee for access to the private dance cubicles to $20. They explained that this was due to an increase in the cost of keeping the local authorities happy and giving the club freedom to allow private dances.

You might consider tipping the dancer during her stage performance and inviting her to join you. However, if word circulates among the dancers that you are not buying what the dancers are selling, then you might get ignored.

I know that Manhattan is expensive, but a $2000 room rental fee! Do you also negotiate with the dancer for additional services? That's obscene!

You were at the Landing Strip for an hour and a half and talked to 4 attractive dancers but didn't get a private dance? Too bad. This is a high mileage/extras club and life is short!

@BlondeRX--- I certainly respect a woman's right to determine who touches and sees her body. You're absolutely right-- there are many reasons that a stripper may decide to forego complete nudity.
But speaking of being informed, the dancer who declined nudity also lost a sale to jacej. If she lost a sale to one customer, who knows how many other customers passed on her in favor of other dancers who performed nude dances? Does she too need to be "informed," in this case on the use of nudity to make a sale?
Some dancers are of the opinion that showing off too much of their bodies, especially their V, will remove the "mystery." Speaking only for myself, I prefer nudity. If I want mystery, I'll read an Agatha Christie or Louise Penny novel.

At a Detroit club (Coliseum-- used to be great, no longer great!), I was denied admission for wearing nice looking sweat pants. Then the bouncer admitted the next customer in line, a woman wearing stretch tights. I asked "why did you let her in, my workout pants look as good as her leggings." He just said "that's the club policy."
Other than that one experience, I've never had trouble with a dress code, including wearing golf shorts. I prefer golf short over basketball shorts because I like having pockets for my wallet and other necessities (e.g., condoms).

I've never been but the shops that I read about in Orange County were 269, Starz, 169 and DD. Some reports of topless shows and a few reports of bottomless shows.

I've read about a few Vietnamese coffee shops in Orange County, CA where the waitresses give topless and bottomless shows. Never read anything about ITC extras.

The popularity of tattoos perplexes me. I've seen too many women who got tattoos when they were young. As they aged and their skin changed, that cute dolphin tattoo morphed into an ugly squid.

Good review. A couple of caveats. As noted above the lap dances in small cubicles in the area where the stage is located are quite expensive ($25 topless and $40 nude). There are other larger VIP areas for rent. The eye candy can be pretty good but I've also seen some seriously overweight dancers on stage. The biggest downside from the customer's perspective is that all of the private dance areas are under video surveillance so, in my experience, mileage is somewhat limited. Thanks for the review!
