A gasoline price war is going on in nearby city. I saw someone posted about it online Friday night. At that time a gas station started selling gas for around 2.45 a gallon and a nearby station matched it. Curious about it so I've been semi watching it since then by checking in every once in awhile. As of this morning the station that started it is at 2.19 and the neighboring station is at 2.29.
I have close to a full tank so a trip to these stations would be a waste for me. So i'm curious again, what's the cheapest gas in your area?

I drive an EV, but buy diesel at the marina that is still $5/gal. No price wars here.
My car takes premium, so I just bend over at the pump.
^ Same here. I don't even look at the sign because I'd hate to vomit in my car.
I go to Costco and Sam's Club occasionally for my premium gas for my Stang, 87 is typically 2.30-2.50 range around this time of year. Premium at Costco was 2.81 a gallon last time I filled up a few days ago. I'm not crazy about living in Oklahoma but I do love how cheap gas is out here.
My plug-in hybrid getting 106 mpg for last 5K miles per one of its odometers.
In Central FL the clermont Costco has reg at $2.69. Everyone else is more like $2.85-3.05. Costco sells only top tier gas whereas Sam’s does not if anyone pays attention to that.
In the communist state of California, the cheapest regular near me is $4.49. One care takes Premium and the cheapest near me is $5.19
In California if you see it starting with a 4, you pull over and fill up ASAP.
@IRman
How do you KNOW Costco sells top tier gas? Do you taste it?
Love how Costco customers think products sold there are better than other places especially Sam’s club.
@ww, Top Tier is a designation that the fuel contains certain additives and meets certain standards. They list the companies that meet that standard. Apparently, Costco does and Sam's does not. toptiergas.com
NJ, is about $2.85 to $3.35 for regular, full service, you legally cannot pump your own gas here.
I just paid $2.29 per gallon in CO. 85 octane, so the opposite of premium, but you can get away with that at altitude.
@caseyx That’s interesting. I would have thought you needed higher octane at altitude?
With the higher altitude there's less oxygen in the air, meaning that your engine runs more fuel rich. This tends to prevent knocking, which is what would normally happen if the octane rating was too low.
Iit is over $5 in Seattle. We might as well be Europe.
Coincidence? I was just now going to follow up on my OP. I was finally in the area, the 2 gas stations I originally posted about have leveled off at 2.24 so I bought gas at one of them. Another station on the same road in the next town over is 25-40 cents more, I don't recall exactly. After driving through 2 other cities I passed a station I used to frequent, gas there and a couple others nearby was $2.99.
Casey is correct. I am required to put 93 octane in my car and found no mountain gas stations over 91 octane.
@ww As @datinman pointed out, Costco is currently on the list of TOP TIER gas brands, while Sam's Club is not currently on there. The TOP TIER designation is related to fuel detergent additives, so it's different than octane ratings, which are about resistance to engine knock...
In the Roseville area of the Twin Cities, gas is running about $2.80-$3.
Just made a drive back to my house in Arizona from the mountains in Southern California. Saw gas prices of around four dollars to five dollars in cali, 2.60 to 3 .60 in my part of Arizona.
