Why is it that most reviewers so often say “paid the price and LEFT A NICE TIP”? . It would be useful info if the tip amount were included. “Left a $20 tip and she appeared to appreciate that” is more informative.

last commentIf it's a true gratuity, I don't see the relevance or how it is anybody else's business. It's a matter of personal discretion. I ignore those questions. OTOH, if the "tip" was part of a negotiation for designated extras, it may have marginal relevance as a barometer for what extras go for at a particular club. But it is very marginal, because required tips can vary widely by dancer, and the same dancer may have different expectations for different customers. I don't share what named dancers do what extras, and would never reveal what I pay a particular dancer, since it is truly YMMV. I will share generally what extras seem to go for in a particular club, if I have adequate info

As far as what's fair goes, I don't feel OK about dancers making less than $20 per song. In clubs where the sticker price for a dance is less than $20, it always seems to be all or nearly all non-white and/or immigrant dancers. In those clubs, I tip them up to $20 per dance. Otherwise, whatever's mutually acceptable is fine. I think it works best for everyone if dancers are allowed to ask for a premium over the sticker or typical price. Otherwise, you have to make a wild guess what tip you need to give, if you want to be on a par with her regulars.

A song is approximately 3.5 minutes long. Round up to 5 minutes. That is 12 songs per hour. Cut that in half, to allow for breaks and switching between PLs. At $10/song, that is $60/hour, which is $120k/year at 40 hours per week. Not bad for grinding your ass on a lap.

If the non-white dancers will dance for less than $20, who is in the wrong...the non-white dancers for bringing down the market rate, or the white dancers for demanding a premium for what is generally inferior performance?

^ your math comes out to a dancer giving 48 dances per eight hour shift. I think that’s highly unlikely to achieve that 5 shifts per week in most clubs.
As for the original question I see “left a nice tip” as a code word for extras.

@manuellabore ive seen some guys say its YMMV and dancers supposedly charge different guys different rates or provide extras to some guys not others, or do certain extras with some not others but most of that is all fluff and ego stroking. Everyone wants to feel special and feel they are somehow getting something others arent.
Many dancers will charge what they think a guy is willing to pay or what they can get away with. If they say $600 for extras and the guy agrees, they will obviously take that money whereas another guy who negotiates, maybe theyll accept $400 from. Or maybe they will just lower their rates entirely if they desperately need money that particular day. Its not really about them thinking “i like this guy more so ill charge him less”.
And there are a whole bunch of other factors that go into it for instance maybe a long time regular will get better pricing than someone shes doing extras with the first time.

@funontheside IMO its not about white vs non white, its about foreign vs non foreign. The american born chicks, no matter their race, all seem to be lower mileage on average, harder or pricier to get extras from etc.
Also your 120k a year calculation is faulty… most dancers cant or wont work 40 hours a week… and they arent guaranteed the $60 an hour.
The calculation is more like, on friday/saturday shifts they can make $300-$1000+ a night, and the rest of the week if they work they can make like $0-$300 on those nights. Some dancers may not even bother working the weeknights and just work a dayjob instead.

Its the same even with many servers… friday Saturday evening shifts are the best… maybe Sunday morning and afternoon shifts too

Didn’t mean for this to devolve into a debate about what dancers make. Just hoping for intel in the reviews about how much a “good” tip would be. One guy’s nice tip might be $10 or even $5 while another might think anything less than $50 is a stiff. Since I visit clubs all over this and other countries I’m interested in what a “normal” tip amount would be in each club and each local.

Non-flaky strippers primarily focus on how much money they walk out of the club with. Do you want her to chat with you for two songs before you buy two songs? Then it would help to tip the price of two songs, to be competitive with the PLs who are not there to chat.

^ That's not being realistic, sales people get paid per sale, pay is never calculated on the time spent pursuing the sale, the profit margin is calculated on the time spent per sale overall (should include both consummated and unconsummated sales), and no sales person ever was able to sell every customer they pitched.

Even if the $60/HR rate was correct and guaranteed, it’s a hard way to make a living. Regarding appropriate tipping (a frequent topic here), I think you generally know when it’s appropriate. Sometimes the effort isn’t there or I’m just not feeling it, and I’ll give a token $5 or $10 “thanks but go away” tip. But sometimes when she’s really into it, and I’m really feeling it, and especially if unanticipated “above and beyond” favors are provided, I’ll give a much better tip. Depending on how much I have left in my pockets, I’ve been known to give a $60, $80, or $100 tip for a totally mind blowing, memorable experience. This always sets me up nicely for future visits and potential OTC.

This is a good topic. What do people tend to tip on 15 or 30 minute rooms? I'm assuming actual tip in a strip club here rather than agreed upon "tip" at an extras place.

For dances that are JUST dances with no extras, $20 for 10-30 min dances is the standard for me, occasionally I've gotten $40 or $50 but that's usually when it's a regular who I've spent a good amount of time with. Or they tip with whatever ones they had left 'cause a lot of guys get a dance to sort of end their night.

$20 for 30 minutes? Dang, maybe I could marry you and pay you by the hour.

If I'm going to give a go away tip, it's gotta be clear it's a go away and never come back tip.
