So jealous.

I've learned to avoid political discussions online. They are generally nothing more than a food fight, and completely unproductive. As far as trolls on the topic of our hobby, it seems to not be as bad as it once was. That said, I do wonder why whomever does moderate this site puts up with it, if/when it does happen. To the OP's point, I agree it may reduce the interactions, and contributions on this site. I quit TUSCL for several months a while back because of one. I came back to check if he was still here, but fortunately he was gone, so at least we know FOUNDER does have some line in the sand.

If you are triggered by any of the trolls on here, you have only yourself to blame. I have a sizable fan club of trolls, literal unemployed basement-dwelling incels, who follow and attack every utterance of mine in this site. Most of them I have ignored. I keep one for a punching bag.

Founder gave you the ignore button if you are too thin-skinned to ignore the trolls on your own or engage them directly. Furthermore, by complaining about trolls you only encourage them by showing that they have gotten to you. Take the high road. I will not even address the shrill hysterics and innate liberal drivel of your bullet points.

It's not that bad on here, really. We don't live in a world where you get everything you want. You have to compromise moderation free posting to enjoy free speech. I guess it's not for everyone.

Use the ignore button on the trolls and spammers. It makes TUSCL much better. I am convinced some of these people have no jobs or families to occupy their time.

@RonJax2, I will see your troll and raise you 40 discussions on algebra and Texas Instruments calculators. Sure everyone's interested in a detailed discussion of last 17 books I've read. I am starting an organization with stripper quality initiates that are housed in Plexiglas boxes with strategic holes cut out. Very much in the vein of the story of O. I'm sure there's 20 or 30 story of O discussions I can bump, always a demand for those! By the way, if you go to a strip club and pay for lap dances, you're a chump! FRMOS!

WTF is bumhip even talking about? We have a block, it's called ignore. Does he mean 2-way block? He still makes no sense. A 2-way block would not impact me in the slightest. I'd interact with the colleagues I interact with, I would ignore others, and be unaware of still others more. He must be stuck on stupid.

The mute feature doesn't work. Trolls can still comment on your threads and downvote your reviews. They can still @mention you. You'll still get alerts when that happens. I've got alerts right now from this very thread from a troll I have blocked. A proper two way block would have none of these problems.

Also, if there were a modicum of rules here, a lot of this terrible behavior wouldn't happen in the first place. Having zero rules, and zero enforcement invites bad behavior from people, even those who would otherwise behave better.

That's why I'm volunteering to help be a troll, so we can really lean into this problem, and take TUSCL completely off the rails!

@Ron why do you care if someone comments on a thread you start, when you can't see it? Have you had a review blocked by trolls? Getting alerts you aren't interested in seems like a pea under the mattress. You can delete all your alerts with a single click. founder generally doesn't participate in discussions. If we expect him to be watching the playground to make us all play nice, he may decide discussions are more trouble than they're worth.

Agree with everything you satirized @RonJax2. If you want a master class on how to moderate a strip club forum, look no further than Subrasonic on the Reddit stripclubs sub. I know it's different than this and there are plenty of teenage/twenty-something idiot noobs falling in love with strippers and asking if they can get an STI from a lapdance, but it's not a cesspool of boomer incels like this place sometimes becomes. I'm all for free speech, but some of you fellas need to take your shit to Truth Social or the dark web, not here.

I don't block or ignore anybody... But I admit I do not read everybody's postings.
