Wave of less stripping in strip clubs - nationwide!’

Avatar for morone99

Is it just me or are you too noticing a wave of less stripping in vast majority of strip clubs nationwide?
In the last 6 months, I’ve been to strip clubs in 4 metropolitan areas. I’ve read a bunch of reviews during and before this period that echo exactly my experiences. In more clubs, the standard model is becoming walk in, buy drink (alcohol or not), find a seat or be assigned a dancer to take you to a seat, and field ‘wanna dance’.
Sure there’s a stage but less dancers are actually getting on the stage and stripping! Now I want the contact, but I do go to the club to enjoy some dancing and stripping by the strippers. Good pole work draws my dollars. Good music selection and creativity draws my dollars. Mix in some good eye contact or pretend you are all alone and we are watching unknowingly, draws my dollars.
So many are just aiming for the one time ‘vip’ dance, and not stripping on stage. Then, and this is what draws my discussion post, why is it that many cities- regardless of average earnings - have similar if not exact fees for dances? How can different metro area’s clubs all be charging 20 for one song, 100 or so for 3-5 songs, and around 200 for 15minutes, or something close to same range?
Gone are the days where less expensive city’s clubs charge half as much!
Monopolies?

Are you facing the same experience all over the US? Bring back the strippers! Bring back freedom of fun touch by choice…

Yes, and often by the hottest girls. I think the paradigm is from cam girls, i.e. no tips = no show. If a girl is dancing on a stage in a strip club, she should at least take her top off before expecting tips.

I haven't seen much change in the last 6 months. Over the last 6 years, yes I've noticed that trend. But again it's not like it's picked up steam or suddenly become ubiquitous. We have some clubs where the stage is still a large part if not the focal point of the experience. We also have clubs where the dances are the focal point and the stage is an afterthought.

And there are some girls at all the clubs who generally follow the tip to strip model. I don't like it, I don't tip those girls. I do like that it makes it real easy for me to recognize them, because I find that invariably the girls who feel that way have an entitled attitude and or superiority complex and I have no interest in being around them. So it's nice & easy when she jumps on stage and basically holds up a red flag.

I don't travel that much, and I don't club every time I do. I've been to some clubs in some other areas, but I can't really comment on nationwide trends. So my comments mostly apply to my area.

In my area, Atlanta, I blame it on the Cubans. When they first arrived on the scene they didn't follow the protocol. They didn't dance on stage and didn't get totally nude during lap dances.

The DJ's used to get a cut from the dances to manage who and when the dancers get on stage. Since hardly anyone gets on stage anymore the DJ's have lost income. To make up for it, the DJ's are now managing the VIP rooms and the clubs have tagged on an extra $10 to the house fee that goes to the DJ. What used to be $50 for 30 minutes is now $60.

Its when clubs are less full or no one tips at the stage. The point of the stage is to advertise for dances. Its not always viable. But those clubs end up with a depressing vibe

Different metro areas arent charging the same. In Maryland theres a $10 per song club, with a small entrance and parking fee. The other clubs are $30-$40 per 3-4 minute long song. $200 for 15 minutes is on the high end.

Good pole work = bad lap dances

As a general rule

I think we, as high contact and/or extras seeking customers, are part of the cause. I always look to the way the club incentivizes the dancers to make money. As the culture shifted to paying more for lap dances and especially VIP for the dancers to earn their best cash, their incentive to provide stage work for little or no tip vanished and you got a predictable result. If you follow any of the dancers forums on IG or Reddit you’ll see many posts complaining about not getting any tips for doing difficult pole work. There’s no incentive to practice it or take the injury risk, work up a sweat, etc. if they aren’t going to get paid. I’m conflating pole work with taking off tops/bottoms, but I think it’s the same conclusion. It’s the comp structure.

I certainly respect dolfan’s opinion and he states his perspective is based on his geography. FL,TX and maybe a few other places are different form the rest of the country. They still have very robust strip club scenes when the rest of the country is falling off. I think it’s reasonable to conclude the FL stage scene is still decent because there are still enough customers in the club to make stage tips worth it.

Lastly, while we and most strippers prefer the independent contractor model, one of the consequences that comes along with that is that the clubs are not allowed to micromanage the dancers on how they do their job. Scheduling, prices they charge for dances and whether they take their tops off on stage are not legally enforceable. Some clubs will still do it anyway.

Was reading and experienced high volume of Cubans ( or at least girls who say they are Cuban) at some Vegas clubs this past year. A wave for sure. Most don’t push the line at all. Interesting to hear about the experience above in ATL with this set of ladies.

Yes to another comment, definitely a regional thing. I’m also learning that some clubs encourage their ladies to move from one of their clubs to another across states. So customs follow them to earn x in y cost city. We lose there, and so do local girls.

I've seen it mostly from the Cubans. The American girls are more likely to show skin.

Nobody tips the pole on Dayshift in my area. The girls don't get nude on stage because of it, or vice versa. All the money is on the floor.

How can there be Cubans all over?

I do avoid day shifts because not much goes on there. Save to dollar for night. Some places have best at end of night shift…girls need to make the dollar.

Yes, what a circular stand off, no cash, no strip, no strip no cash.

I enjoy watching good pole work, but I wouldn't tip more than a $5 for it. I'm there to grope without being punched or arrested. Not forcing strippers to go on stage if they don't want to makes it less human trafficky. But, if a dancer doesn't walk the floor in a bikini or something similarly scanty, I'd be inclined to wait till I see her in her bday suit on stage.

===> "How can there be Cubans all over?"

There are over 11 million Cubans a mere 90 miles off the Florida coast, most of whom live in dire poverty. The poverty is so bad there that sex tourism is widely accepted. Sadly many of those girls were likely pimped out by their own families long before they got here.

Add to that how easy it was, until recently, for Cuban girls to obtain temporary work permits once they got here and the picture gets even clearer.

We only have a few thousand clubs nationwide and a very large influx of Cuban girls arriving over the last several years, many of whom have few qualms about doing sex work. Not all clubs welcome them, but the ones that do seem to appreciate their work ethic. They show up on time, work long shifts and, of course, help keep customers coming in because they put out.

^ They don't live in dire poverty, they may not have the same standard of life as us, but that's just hyperbole. BTW I've been there, have you ?

yes, Cubans do live in dire poverty. Don't believe the Communist Liars who say they don't. Decades and generations of Communism have that effect. We cannot let liberals like 25, AOC, and Bernie bring it here.
