From what I can see in the news, I think she's talking about stuff the House may be considering. There is no spending bill up for a vote yet.

Did you believe the no taxes on tips and overtime promises that Trump kept making while he was running misterorange? At what point are you insulted at being lied to your face repeatedly?

@dustyj these are people who think bankruptcy is a normal business tool of successful people. Lying is pretty much a normal tool of politicians. Trumps just think he does it with more talent.

The reality is the elites intentionally divide us and have us arguing with each other so we're too distracted to realize it isn't left vs right. It's the billionaire elites vs the rest of us. Liberals aren't trying to cut social security, Medicaid, Medicare, snap benefits, veterans benefits, free school lunches etc. Billionaires are.
It's a terrible plan, especially for anyone who cares about the debt and deficit

@dusty is 2022, households that made more than $250K made, between all of them, made about $4.1 trillion. The Federal deficit was about 25% of that, $1.4 trillion. Those households would have to pay roughly double what they already pay in Federal income taxes to eliminate the deficit. There are moral reasons for making many high income people pay more. But it's not a simple fix for our lack of resources to address poverty issues and public investment shortfalls. Corporate taxes tax some teacher's 401K along with rich people.

Since this discussion is getting at least slightly serious and away from just emoting, I'll add my two cents.

The real solution is to simplify the shit out of the tax code. No, I'm not talking about a flat tax or anything like that. The rich don't avoid taxes because their rate is too low, they avoid them because they have a plethora of tax lawyers and accountants to exploit every loophole in the code. Not just deductions, they establish foundations, strategically use debt, create shell corporations, offshore shit in the Caymans and Panama. Things like that. If we stopped trying to use the tax code to encourage regime-approved behavior, issuing tax credits to try and turn society a certain direction, it would be hard to cheat, because it would be clear as day who owed what. Shit, between a simplified code and AI, we could cut the IRS and _still_ be able to catch every cheat in America.

I'd also look at moving towards consumption rather than income-based taxation though I don't know the math. And fuck these crazy dreams of wealth taxes; Europe tried that and all it did was send capital flying out in a gust. Wealth is mobile and envy is shitty policy. An international "tax agreement" wouldn't work when every country has an incentive to back out.

The left and right would still disagree on the size of the government (there isn't enough to tax to fund the left's crazy pipe dreams), how much of a deficit to run, but everyone would come at it from an educated place.
What Warren Buffett said 20 years ago is still true today

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

Where is Buffet's plan for what the rich should do?
The thing is, Trump's 2017 Tax Plan is pretty still in place now, some things did expire. The 2017 Tax Plan actually increased tax revenue by like 49% the past 5 years, and validated by the IRS. The problem is FUCKING SPENDING, FRAUD and WASTE on shitty stuff even flies wouldn't touch.

DOGE is digging into Dems and the Nomenklatura (just look it up) like an Alabama Tick (to quote "Predator".)

DOGE is uncovering Billions of waste, corruption and fraud in just 3 weeks! Like it or not, DOGE just reports the findings, it doesn't make actual changes. Rooting through Treasury it is finding a Mount Everest of fraud, waste and corruption with zero documentation, the kind that got ENRON and WorldCom CEOs jail time, that has been growing for decades with no accountability. Can't wait for the DoEs (Educations & Energy) and SSA findings. I do blame all in Congress, ALL OF THEIR NASTY ASSES, for allowing to waste TAXPAYERS' money at this scale. No company would ever get a pass if they kept their books like gov't (federal, states and locals). I'd love to see a DOGE done to NY, CA, OR, WA, IL, CO without any KY.

And before you Liberals have a Karen over firing gov't workers, not ONE Dem gave a rat's ass about the 50,000 well-paid "union blue collar" Keystone Pipeline workers that Dems say they care so much about who were FIRED for no cause or the contractors doing The Wall.

I'm going to be very interested what Trump's 2026 Budget will look like.
That TikToc babe belongs working the Pole.
The "Gulf of America" YouTube: Dems can't even do humor and memes well. TDS on overdrive.
Trunps plan is to rob wveryone to make up for tax cuts for the rich
