There's little doubt there a nationwide aspect to this business - particularly the way they move girls around (e.g one place raided in City A, girls quickly start work in City B) Ok call it organized crime, because in nearly all states, there's some element that's illegal.

However even the police/govt article admits that many of the girls in some locales get to keep the funds beyond the 60 dollar entry fee. Then the question is how much if any of this money (down the road) still has to be paid as "debt" of some type to the orgnization. We don't know exactly.

I can personally confirm that (at least on a nomimal basis) at least some of these girls get to keep 100% of the money. David 120: I see your correlation, but I disagree with it. In my experience, there's a bump at each end of the spectrum.
