Was able to arrive in TJ on Saturday, two days earlier than planned. The Zona Norte is vibrant as usual with one notable exception: Adelita is still closed with the jumbo sign in front still off. No idea on if or when it'll reopen. A friend of mine came down from Sacramento late last night and we had a nice time. We started in Chicago Club and the place was packed - never seen it like that. Then went over to Gold Palace, followed by La Gloria. Got tacos from the stand across the alley from La Malquerida - delicious. Ended the night at Tropical, where - after my friend called it a night following a 24-hour work shift - I took a girl up to my room at Rizo de Oro (I'm there until Thursday BTW) for arriba. Petite lady who was very flirty, would repeat. After a nap, went back out and found a couple of decent-looking street girls on the corner of Calle Coahulia and Constitucion. Went up to their room, $25 each. Fun time, and looking forward to the next few days.
@coconutz: 1) No, you don't need to be vaccinated to get into and out of Mexico . 2) yes, you do need a passport. Though I have heard of some folks using their driver's license getting into Mexico; getting back into the States, however, could be an issue
if it's obvious that you're a US citizen, you don't need a passport to get back into the US. it's just easier with a passport and much easier with global entry.
I'm planning on being there Monday through Thursday...
I would never attempt to enter Mexico with a drivers license alone because it could be a big hassle to get back in. I have global entry/SENTRI and it’s a game changer for re-entry.
