Debauchery after open heart

After a heart catheterization procedure I'm told that I need a 5 bypass surgery. I'm like WTF I ñever had a heart attack or chest pains or any heart related symptoms up until about 2 months prior when I started becoming easily fatigued with a little shortness of breath.
Coincidentally I first noticed the above after spending time with a long time OTC friend

Surgery scheduled for next week. Assuming I survive with no complications I'm looking at months of recovery

Question for anyone who's been through open heart surgery wondering how it's affected your sex life? How long did did it take you to get back to normal? Did you even get back to an active sex life?

You will feel better. Think positive, then you are almost there.

My Father in law had bypass surgery and 3 heart attacks. He has a 68 year old girlfriend, who is hot and not just 68 years old hot. Thinner than about 90% of strippers and hotter than about 40%. My Father-in-Law will be 90 in March. You will be fine, just may have to eat and live right to keep going...

Elmer: Glad it was discovered before you had a full blown heart attack! You should be as good as new when the surgeon is done.

    I wish you the best.

I agree - just thinking about heart surgery is scary. But, they do amazing work - and they know exactly what they are doing. The surgeons will have you on the mend and rehabilitating very soon!

You will be back to debauchery in a short time! You will be checking out the hot nurses in no time!

Best wishes to you, Elmer. My mother, father and father-in-law all had by-pass surgery and came out of it much the better than when they went in. The only one who had problems afterward was my father-in-law who had diabetes, and his leg wound never healed properly. The heart was fine.

It’s not the same, of course, but I had a catheterization 15 years ago and had a couple stents inserted. Within the next four years I ran 4 marathons and twice biked all the way across Iowa. Don’t worry too much about your sex life. It will come back as good as ever.

Amazing things can be accomplished with a good surgeon and a good hospital.

I know 2 guys (relatives) that had this done in the 1990s. Both similar to you - no previous heart attack and just went in for some tests and bam needed the surgery. One was a quad bypass the other was a triple. These were both big guys, both over 6’2” - think football player build. Both average health, on the heavy side but more had to do with their build than their diet. both non smokers. One lived to be 86 - no other heart issues until his death. The other is still alive and in his late 70s no other heart issues.

Both their recoveries were a bitch, but these surgeries were done almost 30 years ago so I’m sure the surgery would go smoother these days. After about 3 months they were back to normal.

It’s inevitable that I too will probably need the same surgery some day, I have shitty heart genetics on both sides of my family.
