Why won't dancers dance to these songs?

  1. Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead

  2. Schindler's List Theme Song

  3. Sober - TOOL

  4. Cat's in the Cradle - Harry Chapin

  5. Science Fair - Black Country, New Road

  6. Anything by Captain Beefheart

I put in a nice request to the DHs and the dancers and they look at me like I'm insane. Why?

I've seen a stripper dance on stage to Talk Show Host by Radiohead. Perfectly timed to the music. Small club but lots of style. International crowd. She had the place mesmerized.

@wallanon, that's pretty amazing. The best try I've seen are some girls who dance to System of a Down

I've seen girls dance to Sober. If you want a more goth vibe, you could do worse.

I wish they would dance to elecroswing or something. One Dance by Caro Emerald is a perfect classy strip song. Back it Up would be another good one.

Cat's in the Cradle is a depressing song, no middle aged and older father wants to hear that shit in a club while he's trying to forget his life for a moment LOL

tool is one of the more popular spins in my club, especially tracks from Opiate and Undertow. For some reason, when I asked the DJ to spin "Vicarious," he politely declined.

I've seen Sober done at Palomino in Vegas. That got my attention.

Depressing songs don't usually go over well in a strip club. I heard "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles in a strip club one time, and it was completely out of place.

I was at a club once where a dancer danced to the Disturbed version of Sound of Silence. She followed that with Sweet Caroline, to which a few people sang along, including a deep baritone coming from a VIP booth. She did the stripper stomp for the Bap Bap Ba parts. She closed with Behind Closed Doors. How appropriate! That had to have been the strangest set I ever heard at a strip club,.

Ask the DJ. We don't always get a say in what gets played.

If the girl is hot and doing what I want her to do, then I couldn't care less about what song is playing.

As long as they play some Norma Jean - I’m ok!

Their songs aren’t easy to dance to - but that’s fine with me!
