College towns and strip clubs

Just thinking about it, it doesn’t seem like College towns make the best strip club destinations but I haven’t been everywhere. What have your guys experiences been. If it’s a really big city, I think it graduates from title “college town” for me. Just off the top of my head…

Talahassee-Nothing
Gainesville-I think one club, not great reviews
Baton Rouge-haven’t tried the clubs in BR but looks interesting
Anne Arbour- Well if you just go east a little
Columbus- I see they lost their two of their best clubs recently Kahoots and Sirens which I thought I was good. I got check out some other spots. Probably too big but I’ll include it as not to offend TheeOSU.
Athens-Ain’t much
Columbia-I heard they used to be good, no more though
Lexington-Probably the best one I can think of
Morgantown-haven’t heard much good
Durham-Been to the one club there, nice but really low mileage
State College-Not much
Eugene-Looks like it’s a got a few options
Tuscaloosa-some claim Alabama is the worst for SC’s
Champaign-Nothing
Madison-Milwaukee ain’t that good maybe Madison is a little better. Haven’t clubbed there.
Tucson- Probably too big to be considered but there a lot of options
Lincoln- got a couple little clubs downtown, nothing crazy.
College station- Nothing
Bloomington- One club, seems alright
Knoxville- A couple clubs, reviews not that good, probably just because of Tennessee

There’s more but it seems like there’s more miss then hit in there. You guys had any experiences of note be it good or bad in various college towns? And did you see college girls stripping or maybe girls that went to college 40 years ago, I’m open to all possibilities.

My guess is that there are lots of coeds who are dancing to avoid having a lot of college debt on graduation.

My second guess is that those girls are dancing at clubs at least 40 miles away to avoid being stigmatized for doing perfectly acceptable work.

I can only relate to the college towns where my kids have gone to school. Plenty of super hot coeds walking around in yoga pants, short shorts, and sexy crop tops, but these girls are all carrying around daddy’s credit cards, and driving brand new BMWs, so they don’t need to get on the pole to make ends meet. They’re too well supported from home. So there is no correlation between strip clubs and college towns. Also college boys are too poor, and too busy with all the civilian pussy walking around to be spending any time or money in strip clubs.
The traditional college town is typically a small town in a rural area, which are not known to be conducive to strip clubs. The only legitimate college coed stripper I ever met was a student at U Miami who danced in Pompano (yes, 30 miles from campus).

I think you gotta have a lot of paying customers to have a strong strip club. So while those college towns may have the supply of girls, the girls might not be able to make much money working at the clubs so they don't bother.

I do think that having lots a colleges around influences the number of sugar babies around. Orlando is great. UCF has a big enrollment. Miami is a very good sugar baby city. FIU, FAU, Miami, several other smaller schools. Tampa has USF. But a lot of the UF girls will list themselves on the Tampa Seeking site.

@iknowbetter that’s a good point. And probably even more so when considering state school vs private

Just talking about Broward county where Pompano Beach clubs are there are over 60 thousand college students, go up a few miles in Palm Beach County there’s at least another 20-30 thousand college students, not sure how many in Miami Dade but I know that most don’t consider South Florida a college town, but damn we got the girls , we got the beaches, and plenty of those gals work in strip clubs in all three counties.

Closest college town to me is about a half hour drive to oberlin which is a dry town, no bars at all but lots of mindless kool aid drinking liberals.

There was talk years ago about coeds dancing at bottom's up in akron which is a nude juice bar. Never saw any, the few times I was there in the past it was just fat older women that were about a day away from being called matronly.

Deja Vu corporation targets college towns for their clubs. But the towns and cities listed above may be lacking a strip club presence due to their local county or city ordinance.

I don't think there's a correlation. Any good looking girl from a small town will go dance where there's more money like yhe nearest larger city.

I agree with Warrior. Demand is a more important driver than supply in this case. You need customers. So a club in a town with paying customers that also has a college will pull in students. A town with students won’t pull in customers from out of town. For Baltimore, we have clubs and we get local college students dancing. I don’t think it’s the college driving the business. It’s the customers pulling in the students to the club.

As a person that’s 24, all I’m gonna say is that it’s not the 90s anymore. I have never been to a small town/college town strip club and I never will. 22 yo GND college girls getting themselves through college don’t really see working 10 hrs in a strip club and pulling in $600 as attractive anymore. It’s way too much work. 1). The youth of this generation are hermits. This goes for anyone just about <40 but especially <30. Kids these days get very creative and don’t mind to sell themselves to make LOT’S of money FAST because they HATE working. They’d rather sell their bodies shooting a porno or fucking some old man for 3 hours so they can spend the next 2 weeks sitting on their couch eating pizza without having to leave their house.

But yeah there are WAY better ways these days for a hot young girl to make way more money than half the work that stripping is. You can take a couple pictures on OnlyFans, sit in front of your computer from the comfort of your home naked (Cam Girl sites) or just playing a video game (Twitch, YouTube, etc), you can get a sugar daddy who you only have to see a 5-6 times a month, or you can become a high end escort. Each of those is probably way more interesting than risking spending your Friday night at a dead club hoping to pull in another $50 before calling it quits and going home.

I’ve been going to strip clubs since I was 18 because I’ve always preferred going to a strip club alone than partying at some nightclub sausage fest but I only go to Gentlemen Clubs in medium/high population cities. Places like Raleigh, Portland, Charlotte, Austin, Phoenix, etc. I really don’t like smaller strip clubs because I personally find the biker gangs venues with some 45 year old crackwhore working a pole or the ghetto black clubs sketchy. I prefer the upscale gentlemen clubs in medium/high population cities by far.

The OP makes a good point relating to the potential supply of hot college girls who might look very hot on stage. But, there are a few factors that likely hurt that argument.

First, it’s unlikely a college girl would dance at a club near her school, as she could see fellow students or professors as customers.

Second, the demand seems like it would be low. College guys usually are close to broke, and they likely have money for beer and parties, but not strip club money. Those college guys likely can get a decent amount of free college girl pussy - so why pay more to see tits on stage?

I always thought that Austin Tx had a great stock of college hotties - if they ever decided to work one of the local clubs - they could make great money!

A 2nd vote for Austin. I probably had my best night out in SC there (this was some years ago now). It was a parade of young spinners that night. College students? Maybe

Eeeh, there were plenty of the really young dancers at the club I went to in Eugene for a few shifts. I suspect the owner specifically has a bias for contracting dancers who are either barely legal or look like it. And I ended up seeing several of them in Portland a few weeks later at another club that specifically goes for wanting the barely legal dancers as well, lol Even if the college girl dancers like Portland better. Probably not convenient to commute 4 hours round trip every shift.

Lubbock the one week I was there, I thought was a mixed bag. But it looked like there was variety and a higher pool of how dancers look considering how highly Lubbock ranks for # of fast food options per capita and alcohol is a huge source of entertainment in town.

Springfield MO, I thought had dancers who “punched above” the weight of the town too.

Also, don’t underestimate the college boys. Some of them have a pretty generous allowance from bank of mommy-and-daddy-love-their-special-baby-boy 🙂

College towns are more liberal than normal places, so of course strip clubs suck.

I've run into a surprisingly large number of strippers going to school who drive from college towns like Bloomington, Lafayette and Muncie to work here in Indianapolis. All those college towns have had strip clubs. The Muncie one shut down because of lack of customers but the other two cities still have strip clubs.

These girls tell me they make the drive because college boys don't spend much money, are disrespectful or ask them out on dates too much. They also worry about people in their college town they know coming into the club and seeing them. College girls seem more likely to see stripping as having a stigma attached to it. I'm happy they make the drive to Indianapolis and I can buy lap dances from them.

I’ve lived in several college towns during my life and I can attest, most college girls are NOT stripping. As skibum has said regardless of what state the college town is located in, they are typically liberal and not strip club friendly to begin with.

The only college towns I have been in where clubs would be considered good are Austin and Tempe. Can you even call them college towns? No, not really because they’re too large.

College girls could get money at least 1 of 4 ways when I was in school: mom and dad, loans, working a few nights a week as a bartender (big tips if they were hot), a boyfriend dumping money on them.

Today there’s even more options: they can meet up with Warrior, Onlyfans (I am shocked there are so many girls in my college town that have OF pages) plus some more I’m not even thinking about.

Fort Myers is a college town. We have FGCU - Dunk City. However, The number of fat and ugly coeds there far outnumbers the hotties. That's not to say I haven't seen a couple of complete smokeshows - but those are the ones that don't need to spin around a pole to afford college.

I recently helped a friend who started a renovation and cleaning business during the Great Resignation. He calls it "seed money," I called it a loan which needs to be repaid. Before doing so, I went out with him and one of his crews to make sure I wasn't just throwing away the money. I literally saw a bearded lady at FGCU. He also does work at some of the low-rent apartments in the area. I saw more 9s and 10s in the cheap apartments than I did at the student housing - white, black, and brown girls.

The clubs in Fort Myers are essentially run by Latinas. The few white girls seem to almost work with the permission of the Latinas who run the clubs. There are fewer black girls than there are even whites. If I were a college student, working towards a degreed future, there is not enough money being spent in Fort Myers clubs to endure the circumstances. They can make more working at a tourist trap downtown, on Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, or one of the many outdoor malls' restaurants. It is also too small a town to not be at risk of being recognized. That's the benefit of a big city where you can go strip across town, an hour away, while the frat boys and locals stick to the shorter (read cheaper) Uber ride near campus.

One college town no one mentioned was Lawrence, Kansas, home of the 2022 NCAA basketball champs Kansas Jayhawks. They had a couple decent clubs there in the past. I have no idea if that's still true, because I haven't been there since 2016.

I think Warrior15 got it right, college towns may not have a strong enough customer base for strip clubs.

I think the “college girl dancing to pay for school” is more of an urban-myth/wish, than reality – not saying there aren’t some that fit that bill, but IME they seem to be the exception.

I’m of the mind that a lot of dancers dance out of necessity; they may be in tough financial circumstances; or be in a dead-end-job where they don’t see themselves making good $$$ for a long time; and thus see dancing as a way out per se – I don’t think being a college-student actually fits the circumstances of why most strippers become strippers - when one is in college, one is often in a bubble per se, vs “being out in the real world” – I imagine there are girls in college w/ tough financial situations that may turn to stripping just as a non-college-girl w/ tough financial situations would, but I think most girls that turn to stripping it’s often b/c of tough current/past situations and being in college is usually not one of those tough situations that makes a girl to turn to stripping.

My 2-centavos.

I think a lot of college girl strippers are dancing in other metros. Typically college towns are about 100,000. That is too small to have a good customer base.

If it is that much bigger it is not a college town, it is a city which happens to have a college.

Austin has a lot of good clubs. Many of the dancers were coeds from UT, but lots of them were part-time students at Austin Community College.

College Station had a small club on the outskirts south of town. It was a dive and very few people from TAMU had reason to visit, either as employees or customers.

There is no city or area in this country with more colleges and students than Boston. It noticeably changes the population dynamic of a large urban area, noticeably, every September. There is also no city on the planet where the strip club scene sucks worse. I can be at a Boston strip club in 30 minutes. The last time I was George Bush was President....the first one.

College towns being very liberal has to be part of it.

Also in recent decades, small colleges heavily depend on tuition money from international students, mostly Indian and Chinese men getting graduate degrees in STEM fields. I saw this change happening in the 2000s and can’t imagine what it’s like now.

Austin has some OK clubs but it’s worse than Dallas or Houston. Maybe even worse than San Antonio but I haven’t been there to compare.

College kids are just time pass for dancers when the club is slow as they know not big money is coming. Also, rarely any college girl gets into dancing. So, this topic is irrelevant and discussion CLOSED…

I’ve met a few girls from the big state schools dancing but it was as definitely the exception. There were never many if any at the strip clubs in Athens. Now there are a lot of dancers in cities who are students but they’re more commonly the on again off again sorts who go to JUCO or are part time at smaller schools. The clubs they dance at aren’t usually associated with colleges.
