Shows perfectly that the Taliban was never dealing in good faith, and anyone who trusted those cocksuckers is complicit

Yeah, apparently he was living in an upscale neighborhood in downtown Kabul. The story this morning said he was hit with two Hellfire missiles with non-explosive warheads. Instead of detonating, they deploy six large sword like blades before impact. They are also called “flying Ginsu.”

You guys jump all over sports figures over their politics, Tiger in a huge display of patriotism turned down almost a Billion dollars and refused to participate.

And after it destroys the target, it still slices the shit out of an aluminum can and a tomato!

@scrub - the hellfires are usually explosive but the Ninja bomb was specifically designed to limit collateral damage and not hit bystanders. Blades only and often used on cars.

Sad news for Afghans who lack food and medicine. Taliban has made it crystal clear it's not a trustworthy conduit for aid, may just go to support more violent lunacy.

Ironic, since we were told we were invading Afghanistan to get the people responsible for 9/11. Doing a better job of getting them after withdrawing.

Afganistan made sense. Iraq was the true fiasco.

Drew resources from Afganistan when we needed it most, put Iran in a spot with no counterbalance of power, created an unstable new regime, we got no oil and increased our national debt with no economic capital resulting from it. Made Saudi Arabia

Over twenty years after 9/11 and I still feel unhappy when I think about it. I was a civilian military worker working around a bunch of soldiers. I walked into the building cafeteria and there must have been fifty soldiers standing around a television set with somber angry looks on their faces. My first thought was "there must be something really serious going on".

Assassinations make us look really good. Especially when the president gloating about them.

^ I hate terrorists and glad this guy’s dead, but there is something dishonorable and slimey about a drone strike assassination.

Nothing brave about it, no skin in the game, just the push of a button. At least we took out bin Laden with Seal Team 6.

The crazy part is that he was one of the leaders of the "moderate rebels" in Syria fighting the Asaad government that our government backs.

This is called murder and why much of the world hates the US, and rightly so. We ate told is "terrible" to execute convicted murderers domestically but great to assassinate fireigners without a trial so long as we declare them so-called "terrorists." The US is a morally bankrupt cesspool that doesn't even have a viable border. It needs to break up and disappear post haste. This man was murdered. Period. Fuck the New America and everything it supposedly stands for.
